Vets4Pets Ilkeston

Meet the Ilkeston vet team

Ilkston Vets4Pets Ceri (new)

Ceri Andrews BVMS MRCVS

Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

I've lived and worked locally for 27 years caring for several generations of Ilkeston pets.

I currently have three cats; Lily a seal point Siamese, Parsnip a white and ginger stray dumped at work and Walter a long-haired tabby who was found as a tiny stray kitten on Rutland Street, many years ago. It seems fitting that our new practice is located there. They are all eager to have then own blogs, so look out for these in the coming weeks!

I love my garden and also have an allotment, so out of work, they keep me busy.

I frequently spend holidays in Gambia, and with a group of friends, we have built and run a Health Clinic in a very poor village.

Our charity links at Vets4Pets Ilkeston will be The Cinnamon Trust, and Medical Detection Dogs.

Come along and meet our new team.

Ilkeston Vets4Pets Michelle

Michelle Lee RVN

Owner and Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a Veterinary nurse in 1998 at a mixed practice in Derbyshire.

During the last 17 years, I have gained valuable experience from working emergency out of hours to general practice.

For the last five years I have worked for a large charity organisation, but I now look forward to a new challenge of helping to set up a new Vets4Pets surgery in Ilkeston.

I love all animals and find them fascinating. I currently have a rabbit called Patches Quilt, two Guinea pigs called Fudge Pancake and Our Kev. I have two favourite famous animals, Pluto the dog and Shaun the sheep.

Out of work I am married to Mark and have two children Adam and Katie. I like holidays, reading, cinema, and going out for meals. Working for Vets4Pets will enable me to use my skills and knowledge to help and educate pet owners in the community.

Hi! I'm Beth, the newest member of the team here at Vets 4 Pets in Ilkeston.

I'm pretty well travelled - I grew up on the Isle of Man, completed high school in Texas, USA, then most recently attended vet school at the University of Nottingham!

At home I live with my two doggies- Tom the greyhound and Gyp the collie cross, two bunnies Kiwi and Peanut, and last but not least my partner Juan! Outside of work I enjoy country walks with the pooches, cooking, and spending time relaxing at home with a good film or out for a meal.

I look forward to meeting you all! :)

Student Veterinary Nurse

I’m currently studying BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management at Harper Adams University but doing my practical training here at Vets4Pets Ilkeston. I’m enjoying all aspects of the job but in particular I love nurse consults as I get to interact with the animals and their owners.

I have an interest in pain management and want to qualify as a hydro therapist once I’ve finished my degree. At home, I have a cat called Miesha. I also have aspirations to travel to different destinations on weekend breaks to see the different sites and try the cuisine.

I’m looking forward to meeting all of our clients and their pets over the next year whilst I’m on placement!

Ilkeston Vets4Pets Sarah

Sarah Wilkinson

Head Receptionist

My name is Sarah Wilkinson and I am one of 3 receptionists here at Vets4Pets Ilkeston.  I have lived in Derbyshire for almost 10 years, having moved from Nottingham.

I have 2 fur babies namely Gucci and Fudge, they are both Jack Russells.  I am married to Wayne and we have a 2 year old son together whose name is Leo.

As a family we enjoy trips abroad and in the UK.  Gucci and Fudge prefer us to holiday in the UK as they enjoy lots of walks and a paddle on the beach.

In my spare time, I enjoy family days out, particularly if it involves high/fast amusement park rides.  I like lazy Sundays when I can enjoy a Sunday roast, a bit of sport on the telly, followed by a Disney film.  When I'm not being a mum/wife, I enjoy catching up with friends over a meal and I love nothing more than to let my hair down and have a boogie.  I enjoy most kinds of music, but what tends to get my hips swinging is 90s dance music.
