National award nominations for Keighley team - January 2017

Vets4Pets Keighley is celebrating nominations for the prestigious national Petplan Veterinary Awards dubbed the 'Oscars' of the veterinary world.

Vets4Pets Keighley has received nominations for both Practice of the Year 2017 and for Veterinary Nurse of the Year 2017 for Kate Griffin RVN, veterinary nurse and client service manager. Kate says "It is a great honour to be nominated as it has always been my desire to help people look after their pets and encourage and support my colleagues in their work."

Veterinary surgeon and surgery owner Dr Lara Clarkson MRCVS says "It is wonderful recognition for the team to be nominated for these awards by our clients. We always aim to exceed the level of service that pet owners expect but it is the icing on the cake to know that our clients have taken the time to submit their nominations and for the hard work of the team to be recognised."

Diet and Nutrition Workshop - Tuesday 21st February 2017 6.30pm

The surgery is always looking for ways to improve the health of our local pets and has recently launched an initiative to help tackle the growing problem of pet obesity. Many people may be thinking to enrol with slimming groups for themselves at this time of year, but people are being asked not to overlook their pets.

The nursing team at Vets4Pets are currently offering free one-to-one diet and nutritional advice clinics, together with a free educational workshop with a nutritional expert, vets and nurses on hand to help pet owners better understand the huge choice of different pet foods on the market and how to make the best choice for their pet. Anyone who would like to attend is asked to contact the Vets4Pets Keighley reception team on 01535 667061 or email keighley@vets4pets.com.
