Hello my name is Pamela. I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2013 and initially started my career in mixed practice. Deciding that I wanted to focus on small animal I moved to Vets4Pets Ayr in 2015 and spent 3 years here. I moved from there to a busy charity hospital in Glasgow for 5 years gaining a huge amount of experience in emergency care and surgery.

I am enjoying being back in first opinion practice where I get to build relationships with clients and their pets. I have a strong interest in soft tissue surgery and emergency care and look forward to using my experience to help pets and their owners at Vets4Pets Kilmarnock.

I originally worked for Vets4Pets in Ayr where I qualified from in 2014.

Since then I have worked at The Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh where I got experience in all areas of the hospital through ICU, surgical/medicine wards and exotics. I have also worked for local veterinary practices carrying out tasks such as monitoring anaesthetics, nurse consultations and patient care.

I then started locum work mostly around Vets4Pets surgeries which gave me a great insight into how each individual surgery works. I really enjoy running nurse clinics as I find them really rewarding and feel like it builds up a really good relationship with both clients and patients. At home I have 3 collies who I love spending time with and taking walks to the river for some fun.

Hello.  I have just recently joined the Vets4Pets Team in Kilmarnock as Clinical Nurse Manager.  I started my Veterinary Nursing Career over 30 years ago. I trained then worked in a local Mixed Practice, University of Glasgow, Small Animal Hospital, one of the very first Vet4Pets practices (in Bramley, Leeds) and for the last 20 years back at the University of Glasgow, Small Animal Hospital where I was Senior Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit.   Along the way I have gained further qualifications which have enhanced my knowledge and love for the job I do. Over the years I have witnessed the progression of Veterinary Medicine and how it has evolved to be able to help our much loved pets who become part of our families. I thoroughly enjoyed my job in the referral hospital but felt it was time to come back into first opinion practice and I am very happy to be part of a Vet4Pets practice again.  I am looking forward to meeting all the Vets4Pets  Kilmarnock clients and their pets.

Hi I’m Megan, one of the Registered Veterinary Nurses.

I started my nursing journey as a student in our Ayr practice in 2019. I qualified in July 2022 from Edinburgh Napier University and remain part of the furniture. I enjoy all aspects of nursing, as no day is the same. However, I have taken an interest in surgical procedures. In 2023 I completed my Schedule 3 Course in Nursing. This means I am able to perform minor surgeries and suture patients.

At home, I have my Staffie Lucy. Lucy was re-homed in 2023 and loves her new family! When not with Lucy or at work, I enjoy spending time with friends and taking part in Young Farmers.

I am really looking forward to my new role in Kilmarnock and meeting all the new pets!

Hi I'm Lorna. I joined the team here at Kilmarnock in February 2015, as an Animal Nursing Assistant. At the end of 2022 I took on the role of Practice Manger but I missed the hands on work with all of your lovely pets so have stepped back to my Nursing Assistant position as of July 2023.

Having been brought up on a farm, I have always been around and worked with animals. I then finished secondary school to work in a mixed practice for 10 years before Joining the Vets4Pets Team.

I find my job very rewarding and I love all aspects of what I do.

When I am not at work I am kept very busy at home with my 10 year old son and my Chocolate Labrador Luna, who loves to strike a pose for our Facebook page. In my spare time (if lucky enough) I enjoy helping my dad out on the farm.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets.

I qualified as a Vet Nurse in 2005 and have always worked in small animal. I've been nursing for over 20 years.
This year I have taken on the role of Admin Manager so I deal with the insurance claims as well as other administrative tasks required.

When I do nurse, I work better with cats purely due to back and knee pain.  They're smaller and easier to handle without hurting myself. At home I have one dog, Taco, and two cats, Tinkerballa and Tri-Pawed.

Hello, I'm Carmine!

I first started working with Pets At Home Kilmarnock in 2014 and this is where I met my partner, James.

I was then lucky enough to join the in store Vets4Pets team in 2015 as a Client Care Advisor.

I love my role, meeting new people and their pets, but the best part is that no two days are the same and everyday I learn something new.

I took our cat Loki (pictured with me) home from work in 2017 and since then he has been a fantastic little house cat and welcomed and became best friends with our daughter from the minute we brought her home.

Outwith work I'm normally busy with my family, out on country walks or finding different activities to do.
