Louise Kelly, Vet, Vets4Pets Lancaster

Louise Kelly MA VetMB GPCert(SAS) MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Surgery Partner

I graduated from Cambridge University in 2004 and have worked in a variety of small animal practices ever since. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work and have a special interest in orthopaedic surgery. I gained the General Practice Certificate in small animal surgery in 2011. One of the nicest compliments a client ever paid me was that whenever she came to see me, she and her family felt like they were coming to visit friends; it is with that ethos that Phyllis and I are opening Vets4Pets Lancaster. We are part of a compassionate and caring team and trust you will feel truly welcome every time you visit the surgery.

Phyllis Pratt, Nurse, Vets4pets, Lancaster

Phyllis Pratt RVN

Veterinary Nurse and Surgery Partner

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2002 and have worked in a variety of small animal first opinion and referral centres. I have spent the past four years working in emergency centres and through this I have gained vast knowledge and experience assisting and nursing many challenging cases. When I am not working I am being a mum to my five year old son. I also have two cats and three tortoises, my tortoises are currently sleeping for winter. Louise and myself are very excited in our new joint venture so on behalf of ourselves and our fantastic team we look forward to welcoming you and your pets into our practice.

Hi everyone, I am Beth and I have just graduated as a Veterinary Nurse from Myerscough College after completing my three years Foundation Degree Veterinary Nursing course. Joining Vets4Pets is my first real job and I have so far really enjoyed working with the team, clients and their animals along with cuddling all the in-patients. I have lived in Heysham for over 13 years and I have one spoilt crazy black Labrador called Jazz, who is 7 years old. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going out and about with my friends, going to the gym and long walks with my Jazz.

Hello everyone, I'm Louise and I've recently joined the vets 4 pets team after almost two decades at a previous veterinary practice. I have 2 wonderful daughters who I love spending time with whether it be going shopping, watching a movie or even just going for a walk. I have 3 mischievous cats who are forever causing trouble. Leanne Hartley

Student Veterinary

My name is Leanne and I am a student nurse here at Vet4pets, I decided that I wanted to train as a veterinary nurse after bringing my pet dog Boo to this practice. I felt that everyone cared about us and always went the extra mile to help, which is why I’m now working very hard with this team and at Myerscough College. As well as Boo, I have another dog Barry and am a mother of two beautiful boys. We are a very active family and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible keeping us all fit and healthy.

Alex Johnson Receptionist Vets4Pets Lancaster

Alex Johnson

My name is Alex Johnson, born and bred in the Morecambe area, I'm married with two young daughters. We have 2 cats also both girls and after taking pity on hubby our newest family members are 2 dumbo rats both boys. Since leaving school I have worked mostly in the retail sector including management. Most recently I spent almost 12 years at D&A Opticians as a Senior Optical Advisor which merged with and became Boots Opticians. I thoroughly enjoyed my role there but when the vacancy for a receptionist at Vets4Pets was advertised I couldn't resist, all the best bits of my previous role plus working with animals! When I met Louise, Phyllis and the team I knew it was a perfect fit and that feeling continues to grow stronger every day. I am thoroughly looking forward to helping any local animals and their families in staying as healthy and happy as possible.

Catherine Farrell Receptionist Lancaster Vets4Pets

Catherine Farrell

Hi everyone my name is Catherine and I'm one of the receptionist here at Vets4Pets Lancaster. Originally from the Lake District but I have lived here in Morecambe for over 10 years now. I'm happily married with 4 funny children and one bossy guinea pig called Jonathan! If having 4 kids wasn't enough I decided to return to work and this role was the perfect one for me. I have many favourite animals including guinea pigs, rabbits and meerkats - not just because of the adverts though! I’m really excited to be working in a practice where everyone is so passionate about what they do and I can’t wait to see lots of animals come into our surgery and hopefully some unique ones too, that I have never seen before. We look forward to seeing you here and I can promise a warm welcome awaits you and your pet will be treated as if it’s one of our own.
