Kate Wiltshire

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1996 and I have worked in small animal practice ever since. Starting in Banbury, I then worked in Warwickshire for 9 years before moving to South Birmingham, where I have been for the last 10 years.

At home I love to spend time with my family and our little dog, Minnie. She may be small in stature but not in character and she makes us laugh often! In my free time I also enjoy painting and a bit of gardening - under the watchful eyes of Minnie and our visitor, Nigel, who is a juvenile herring gull currently convalescing in my garden. Don't worry, he's very comfortable there and is recovering from serious wounds caused by a fishing line.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2014 after a 3 year degree course at Moreton Morrell college. I have experienced a variety of different practices both as a locum and a permanent member, making irreplaceable friends and valuable experience in all areas. I have also done a lot of work with and for Pets At Home, this has given a great insight to all aspects of the pet industry, including retail.

I have an absolute love for rabbits, including subject areas such as; behaviour, emergency, critical care and ethics. Rabbits are one of the most neglected animals due to lack of understanding, I want to help change this. I have undertaken many further courses to ensure I have sufficient experience in the above fields.

I also have an interest in dog behaviour and ran my own 'puppy parties' in a previous practice. I hope to do this again here in Leamington Spa, and help puppies and owners get the best start in life. I intend on furthering my knowledge within this area.

My own animals currently include 3 rabbits; Charlie who is 8 years old, Alfie is 3 and Nutmeg who is 1. All different breeds and rescues with their own stories. I also have a dog called Maddie who is nearly 3, she is currently in the gold class of the Kennel Club 'Good Citizenship' awards. She is a 'Jack'ahuahua' and i love her! My personal interests include; travel, dance and enriching my pets.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I’m a student veterinary nurse at Moreton Morrell College, I started studying in 2017. Veterinary has always been the pathway I wanted to pursue. I started doing volunteer work when I was 15 for the PDSA, and then became a colleague at pets at home which really kick-started my animal career. Working for pets at home opened up many opportunities for me; I made amazing friendships, built my confidence and learned so much about not only cats and dogs but also the very misunderstood exotic and small furry critters! I started gaining work experience at a variety of vet practices and decided veterinary nursing was definitely the career for me, which brings me to where I am now.

I have a cat called Phillip who I rescued from the RSPCA a few years ago, he is a cat flu carrier and is an extremely special fur baby who is my best friend! I’m known for being a mad cat lady but in all honesty I couldn’t pick my favourite animal - I can imagine myself having a mini zoo of wonderful pets in the future!

Aside from my love for animals, I also have a huge interest in art and music; In my free time I love going to see live music and paint or draw or just be creative.

Practice Manager

I'm not originally from the veterinary background at all and have come from the retail sector where I was previously a manager. This is of course completely different and I am very much looking forward to the new adventure here in the Leamington Spa Vets4pets.

I believe strongly in the ethos of putting pets first and am very keen to make this practice the best it can be, along with having a great team who I am already very proud to be part of.

Myself and my partner have had our mischievous dog Iris for 3 years now, and much like the vets, every day is different with her, for example she has recently taken to climbing Snowdon with her daddy twice in two weeks (my excuse was being at work). We rehomed her from the dogs trust so she has a story to tell but unfortunately we will never know it.

I'm looking forward to the winter nights of cuddling up with her in front of our log burner with a nice glass of red.

Client Care Coordinator

This is my first time working in practice, I have got an extended diploma in Art and Design and previously worked in Pets At Home where I gained a lot of animal knowledge. I have always wanted to work as part of a veterinary practice so I was extremely excited to be able to start my career with Vets4Pets.

I have always grown up with animals so they have always been a massive passion of mine, I currently have 2 French Bulldogs – Prizz and Zuess, A cat – Violet, 3 Guinea Pigs – Effy, Dolly and Tate, 2 Hamsters – Maisie and Bruce A rabbit – Lola and tropical fish. .

During my spare time I enjoy taking my dogs out for walks, and using this time to take photographs as photography is also a massive passion of mine. I also love just spending time with my family and friends even if this means just lounging around the house!

Client Care Advisor

Animals have always been a huge part of my life and I’ve always been surrounded by them growing up. I did work experience at Companion Care Vets in Stratford and ever since then I knew that I wanted to work in a veterinary practice. I love being a part of the Vets4Pets team and enjoy meeting and getting to know all of our clients and their pets!

At the moment I have 3 pets: 2 cats called Pickle and Woody and I also have a sore called Mizzie who always keeps me busy!
