Vets4Pets Leigh

Meet the team

Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2013. After starting work in a mixed practice in North Wales, I then changed to small animal practice with a quick stint in South Africa doing some wildlife veterinary work. I spent 9 months working as a locum before settling here at Leigh. I have a keen interest in keeping veterinary visits as fear free as possible, as well as an interest in surgery, senior pets and rabbits.

In my spare time I can be spotted running in the hills with my collie cross Jack who you may have spotted as the happy black and white dog on the Vets4Pets TV advert. I also have a keen interest in rugby and although I tend to watch it more than play these days I am looking to hopefully be getting back out on the pitch soon.

I am the practice manager here at Leigh and I have been here since January. I have been working with animals for over 10 years and I have 3 dogs, 2 bearded dragons, a Hermanns tortoise and fish.I have a keen interest in dog nutrition, behaviour and rehabilitation.

In my free time I love being outdoors, camping, hiking with the dogs and mountain biking, quite often getting lost in the process.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been nursing in practice for over 15 years, 13 years of which I have been as a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have worked in a variety of different practices including an exotic practice where I have nursed anything from cat, dogs and rabbits to snakes, lizards and vultures (the list can go on)!

I have a very keen interest in feline nursing and how we can improve feline care whilst in practice and at home which I am looking to do further qualifications in. I enjoy nurse clinics and love meeting new pets and there two legged companions.

In 2012 I completed my Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing to help me give all pets I see the best care I possibly can. I love every part of nursing and feel very honoured that people trust us with their most treasured fur babies on a daily basis.I look forward to meeting you all.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been nursing in small animal practice since 1993, and qualified in 2000. I have worked at several practices throughout my career including some 24 hour emergency practices where I picked up a lot of valuable experience.

I joined the Vets4Pets Wigan team in September 2017 and in 2019 I transfered to Vets4Pets Leigh. Nurse consulting is my passion in practice, this gives me the opportunity to meet clients and their lovely pets, I also enjoy medical nursing, such as looking after & advising diabetic patients.

At home, I have two German Shepherds, and a very naughty Russian Blue cat called Alex. I’m also a keen Beekeeper and have a small collection of pedigree hens.
