Meet the Livingston vet team

Adam Vets4Pets Livingston

Adam Charleston MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2000 and I was delighted to return to the area when I opened Vets4Pets Livingston in 2007. Before then I worked at veterinary surgeries in Mansfield, Coventry and Portsmouth. A special interest of mine is internal medicine and dermatology. My dogs mean the world to me. Maggie is a border collie, and Billy is a greyhound. When I get spare time I can be found gardening and doing DIY, or I might be out cycling or at the cinema.

Livingston Vets4Pets Nick Goldfinch

Nick Goldfinch MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Nick graduated from Glasgow Vet School and initially worked in mixed practice focusing on small animals and ‘exotics’, and completing a further qualification in small animal medicine.  He then moved to Edinburgh University’s Hospital for Small Animals where he undertook a residency program in small animal oncology (cancer care) and completed a PhD on veterinary immunology (and also made some appearances on local TV!).  Since joining our practice, Nick has focused particularly on small animal surgery – completing a further qualification in surgery in 2015 and currently registering as an advanced practitioner in this area.    However, he has also continued his interest in exotic animals and frequently champions mice as his favourite patients.  In his spare time, Nick runs in the hills, which he says keeps him sane!

Jane Anderson

Vet

Jane graduated from Cambridge University after returning to study veterinary medicine as a mature student. She started work in a mixed practice north of Inverness, but after few years later decided that small animal work was where her passion lay and moved further south. She spent time working in Carnoustie before settling here in Livingston. Jane spends her spare time enjoying her garden with her cat called fergus or out cycling in West Lothian.

Alison Docherty MRCVS

Part-time Veterinary Surgeon

Alison graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1999. She initially worked in mixed practice (beef, sheep and equine) before deciding to specialise in small animals after a few years in a busy West Yorkshire practice. Alison is now very experienced in all companion animal species with a particular interest in feline geriatric medicine. In her leisure time she enjoys walking with her husband, two young children and two dogs (and her cat if he is not too busy hunting!)

I joined Vets4Pets in July 2015. I am originally from Poland, but have been living in Scotland since 2009. Sports and passion for animals are my thing. I studied higher sport and fitness and I also tend to do photography and travelling in my spare time .I have 2 dogs ,Hungarian vizsla X named Shadow and an English springer spaniel named Freya . Favorite part of my job ? Getting to know the patients and their owners , to see them improve after a rough time of illness . Makes you smile knowing you had some impact on their lives .

Natalie Waddell

Receptionist

I joined Vets4Pets in August 2016 as a receptionist. I have always had a passion for animals and did voluntary work in zoos and kennels. I am very interested in the medical side of things within the practice and hope to learn more in the future. I have a Hungarian Vizsla called Mia who previously came to the practice as a customer for all her treatments. In my spare time I enjoy art and draw pet portraits and feel very inspired seeing all different kinds of animals coming to the practice on a daily basis. The best thing about working in the vets is getting to know the animals and their owners, listening to stories about their pets and seeing their characters.
