Two dogs called Catherine Zeta and Tom, that belonged to Mr and Mrs Jones.

Mumble from Happy Feet.

I joined the team in 2016 following maternity leave from having my little boy Lennon. I qualified in 2009. Since qualifying I have furthered my knowledge by completing a nutrition advisors course, a diabetes advisor course, pet health councillor course and I am currently studying for an advanced diploma in canine behaviour and I currently run behaviour counselling clinics at the practice.

 

I have a keen interest and extensive experience in running nursing clinics. I have 2 rescue hand reared cats named Mary and Ninky and a golden retriever called Mollie. We all enjoy spending time as a family outdoors.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? My favourite animal is dog as they have so many expressions

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? A fluffy bunny called furry foo foo

 

What is your favourite famous animal? King Julian the Meerkat from Madagascar

 

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? The best aspect working for Vets4Pets is we are a really close team we all work well together meaning we can provide the best care to patients, clients and each other, we are all really good friends.

Lauren McLeary

Student Veterinary Nurse

I have worked at Longton Vets4Pets since 2014 as a student nurse. I enjoy theatre work and assisting with operations. I really enjoy meeting new people and their pets.

 

I have five dogs, Tink, Rene, Rosie, Louie and Sunny, I also have two pet tortoises called Ferrero and Rocher. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend and my nephew.

I have recently joined the Longton Vets4Pets team after working as an RVN for over 4 years at my previous practice. I qualified in 2012 and I enjoy both sides of nursing, consulting in practice and working side by side with clients and also anaesthesia side. I have a certificate in wound management and a keen interest in dentistry.

 

In my spare time I play netball and enjoy spending time with my bulldog, Bentley.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? Penguins because they make me smile.

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? British Bulldog called Bentley.

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? Mr Bilbo from The hobbit

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? Working as a team and having the support behind you.

Stacey Cain

Client Services and Practice Administrator

I started working at Longton Vets4Pets in January 2016, having worked in a Veterinary Practice since leaving school. I deal with most of the administrative side of things at the practice.

 

I have an 8 and a half year old Great Dane called Samson and a cat called Poppy. I live at home with my Husband and our little boy Harry. In my spare time, I really enjoy spending time as a family and taking Harry to new places.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? Hedgehogs, because they have really cute little faces.

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? I have a Great Dane called Samson and a cat called Poppy who I hand reared.

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? Kanye Westie

 

What is your favourite famous animal? Frank the pug from Men in Black!

 

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? The best aspect of working for Vets4Pets is that we have such a good team here, we all work really well together and I find the supportive environment of the Vets4Pets team make the practice a really enjoyable place to work.

I have worked for Vets4Pets as a Student Veterinary Nurse since September 2016 and I'm looking forward to qualifying in 2018.

 

In my spare time at home I enjoy walking my two crazy dogs who take up most of my time on my days off!

 

What is your favourite animal and why? Elephants, because they are very clever!

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? Whippet cross called Luna, Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross called Ronnie and a cat called Minnie

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? Ed Sheeran the ginger cat

 

What is your favourite famous animal? Hedwig the owl from the Harry Potter films

 

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? We are a really close working team and work really well together to assure that all of our patients and clients get the best care that they need.

I have been working for Longton Vets4Pets since June 2016 where I started doing work experience, I then volunteered and progressed onto becoming a student veterinary nurse. I spend most my time with my friends and family and looking after my two dogs.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? My favourite animal is a dog because they're so loving, full of character and never fail to make you laugh.

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? I have a Jack Russell called Molly and a puppy called Milo.

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? Ed Sheeran the ginger cat.

 

What is your favourite famous animal? Tilikum the killer whale.

 

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? Our team is such a strong and close working team this allows us to work really well together and the caring for patients day in day out making them better is the best feeling.

I have a little girl called Gracie and live in Bucknall with Gracie and my partner Tom. I have worked in a vets since I left school and love all animals.

 

I have a cat called Tiddles who I hand reared from a stray kitten that came into work and another cat called Tibby, I also have two guinea pigs and some fish. Finally a dog called Bow who is has a heart condition and is on life time medication for it she was also a rescue from animal lifeline.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? I like cats as think they have all different characters and are independent but love to sit on your knee and have a cuddle too.

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? I have Dog name Bow, two cats Tibby and Tiddles and two guinea pigs Peppa and George and 3 fish.

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? I love human names like Steve or Bruce.

 

What is your favourite famous animal? Marley from Marley and me.

 

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets? The small team and the busy atmosphere.

I have been a receptionist at Longton Vets4 Pets since August 2016. I enjoy meeting people and their animals.

 

What is your favourite animal and why? My favourite animals are birds, as they can go wherever they want whenever they want, and see so much more than other animals.

 

What pets do you have and what are their names? I have a guinea pig called Bea, 2 cats called Belle and Button, 2 rabbits called Bella and Billy.

 

What's the best pet name that you've ever come across? The best name I have come across is Lord Darren Fluffington

 

What is your favourite famous animal? Tulip the bird from storks

Lynn Johnston

Receptionist

 

Hi my name is Lynn. I have worked at Longton Vets4pets since we opened in 2009. I have two pet rabbits which destroy anything in the garden made of wood including next doors fence panels!!

 

My hobbies are mountain biking, walking and I love doing adventure activities. My favourite pets are giraffes and birds of prey.


What is your favourite animal and why?
Any bird of prey. I find everything about them fascinating, the way they migrate and hunt. They are just such powerful yet beautiful creatures.

What pets do you have and what are their names?
Two Rabbits called Delilah and Jasmine

Oreo

Lassie

What's the best aspect of working for Vets4Pets?
Our team is such a small close team that work very closely with the patients, and it is great that the majority of the patients are actually pleased to come and see us.
