Vets4Pets Merry Hill

Meet the Merry Hill vet team

Monish Malhotra JVP Merry Hill

Monish Malhotra MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2003. I worked in the Birmingham area in small animal practice for two years before I began working as a locum all over the UK to gain experience. I then worked and travelled around Australia and New Zealand for 2½ years - this was an amazing experience which allowed me to gain invaluable insight into differing clinical practices.

I enjoy being a vet general practitioner, especially the close interaction and relationship between vet and patient. I love providing an excellent service to all my clients and patients - both old and new.

Outside of work I am a sports enthusiast, love to read and I am also a movie buff. My rescued Rottweiler, Beyonce, enjoys coming to work with me regularly!

Ionut Iurciuc MRCVS

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Iasi Romania in 2015. During my studies I’ve completed internships for both small and large animals. I became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London in March 2017 and soon I have the opportunity and pleasure to be employed with Companion Care Vets and their extraordinary team.

Being a vet surgeon is the best challenge for me because I have to consult patients who do not speak, who can’t say in which area there are dysfunctions, patients who often react simply instinctively; so I must be able to "read" the clinical signs of the patient, interpret, diagnose, and intervene for solving the disease. With every happy owner I feel like I’ve achieved my purpose.

I have my best friend Tasa, a 7 year old boxer, here in the UK with me. She is a lovely companion, the best partner for outdoor activities and my constant source of joy.

Cosmin Balan MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I was born in a small town in Romania, and graduated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. I then moved to the UK that same year, where I began work as a Meat Hygiene Inspector, ensuring food safety at several abattoirs within Scotland. Getting this job within Vets4Pets really meant a lot, as my dream was always to work in a veterinary clinic. I feel lucky to be surrounded by a supportive team who have been very welcoming & have helped the growth of my career.

Mircea Cebotari MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

After graduating The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine back in my hometown of Iasi, Romania I decided on a fresh start and moved to England. This transition was easy as the people here had always welcomed me with an open heart. I got to know different people from all walks of life, I got to make unexpected friends, and slowly I found a home here.

Back in Romania I used to practice veterinary medicine at a dairy cattle farm, a job which I truly loved, but at the end of the day I'm a dog person at heart and I got into this field for this particular reason.

I'm glad that I could join this wonderful team and I'm happy knowing that I'll always do a job that brings joy both to me and my patients.

Bogdan Florescu MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I was born & raised in Romania, I studied veterinary medicine in Iasi, where I graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in July 2016.

During university I volunteered & worked inside a veterinary clinic that mostly dealt with small animals, but I also had the chance to work with farm animals for a couple of weeks.

I've always loved animals and one of my dreams was to move to a country that would give me the opportunity to interact with as many animal species as possible. Fortunately this dream came true in 2017, when I was given the chance to join this team.

Outside the work schedule, I enjoy visiting museums, old historical places, and when nobody is listening I really enjoy a good karaoke!

Marius Popa MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I am Marius and I was born in Iasi in Romania.

I graduated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Iasi, Romania in 2006. During the course, and after graduation, I had the opportunity to practice and volunteer in large animal farms, becoming more and more passionate about everything concerning animals and their way of life, & providing them care and treatment.

I gained experience working as a veterinary surgeon in my country, being the owner of a Veterinary Clinic for Large Animals. I became a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in London in January 2018 and since then, my dream was to find a job in the UK, as a surgeon and help animals in need.

My dream came true when I joined the team at Companion Care & Vets4Pets in August 2018. Getting this job really meant a lot for me, as my dream was always to work in a veterinary clinic in the UK.

In Romania, I have a 10 years old Lipizzaner, named Theo and a 2 year-old Burmese named Puffy.

In my spare time I like to pilot my ultralight aircraft, to play the drums and to spend time with my family and friends.

Marta Cziriak MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Ever since I was a child, I liked and loved the animals, and I wanted to be a veterinary surgeon. My dream became a reality when I graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj Napoca, Romania. During the faculty I had the opportunity to practice and volunteer in small animal clinics, but also in some farms. I also had the opportunity to go with the Erasmus Scholarship to Italy for an exchange of experience.

My dream of working in a veterinary clinic with small animals became I reality when I became a member of the team at Companion Care & Vets4Pets. I am very happy and proud to be part of this great and extraordinary team.

Ilias Nestoratos MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I am Ilias and I am happy to have recently joined the team at Companion Care & Vets4Pets. I qualified as a vet in Iasi, Romania in 2013, and worked as a vet in Greece gaining experience in both small animal and larger farm animal environments. I have been a registered vet in the UK since 2016 and have been looking to broaden my professional horizons and further develop my skills, and I have also worked in quality control services. My main interest is small animal surgery, and I am committed to ensuring that the best possible treatment and medical care is provided.

I grew up in the countryside, and a cat or a dog were never missing from my house, so it did not take long for me to realise my interest in the field. I consider myself lucky to be doing what I love and to provide care and treatment to animals who mean so much to their owners.

After work I enjoy playing football, which I am a big fan of, and spending quality time with friends, which always helps me to wind down after a long day

I am very happy to be a member of the team at Companion Care & Vets4Pets, and I am excited to meet my four-legged patients!

Flori Hiruta MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I was born and raised in a small countryside town in Romania, and I graduated the faculty of veterinary medicine from Cluj Napoca in July 2018. Whilst in Cluj I volunteered for a few animal rescues where I was able to help stray cats & dogs. I decided to move to the UK in September 2018, and in November I got the opportunity to join the Vets4Pets/Companion Care team.

In my free time I enjoy reading, preferably whilst sipping on a tea and cuddling a cat! Back in Romania I have two cats and two mixed breed dogs.

After years of working for a corporate company and then being made redundant I decided to use my redundancy money towards a long time passion of mine to work with animals.

I entered into college as a mature student and obtained my National Diploma in Animal Care and then went on to start my HND in Animal Management at Solihull College. During my college time I entered into many work placement experiences which included Hoo Farm & West Midlands Safari park which just fuelled my passion all the more.

After college I secured my first full time paid animal job at Brockswood animal sanctuary where I looked after animals and students.

Currently I work as a Dog Groomer part time, and at Vets4Pets/Companion Care on weekends, which I have enjoyed so much that I am hoping to return to college to train as a vet assistant or vet nurse, so 'watch this space'

They are all crazy characters and are full of love which is always great to have at the end of a long day. I am excited about the variety of species that attend our surgeries and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone too.

Since a young age I always had family pets, such as dogs, cats, and hamsters. I currently have a little hamster called Poppy! I do have a big fear of spiders, so if I do see one…I’ll be gone like the wind!

I’m looking forward to meeting all our clients & their furry companions.
