Meet the Merry Hill vet team

Monish Malhotra JVP Merry Hill

Monish Malhotra MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2003. I worked in the Birmingham area in small animal practice for two years before I began working as a locum all over the UK to gain experience. I then worked and travelled around Australia and New Zealand for 2½ years - this was an amazing experience which allowed me to gain invaluable insight into differing clinical practices.

I enjoy being a vet general practitioner, especially the close interaction and relationship between vet and patient. I love providing an excellent service to all my clients and patients - both old and new.

Outside of work I am a sports enthusiast, love to read and I am also a movie buff. My rescued Rottweiler, Beyonce, enjoys coming to work with me regularly!

Dana Corneanu MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated in 2016 from Iasi, Romania, with a masters degree in Veterinary Medicine. During my time at university I did internships in both small animal practices and stud farms, mixing my passion for pets and working animals.

I have a particular interest in microbiology and infectious diseases, and I hope to complete an internal medicine certificate in the near future. I have a big passion for black cats, my own called Bagheera and her son Sob have been making my life better for the past 12 years.

In my free time I love to read, travel and meet new people from various cultures and backgrounds. The young spirit and diversity is what I love most about the team here. As a new graduate I hope to bring my enthusiasm and optimism to this great team and together ensure your beloved pets receive the highest level of care. I am looking forward to meeting all of the clients and their pets!

Oana Ruluca Stan, MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania. I spent the following two years working as a veterinary surgeon in a renowned small animal practice in Bucharest.

This experience made me gain a lot more knowledge in internal medicine and surgery! It is a great pleasure for me to work in our Oldbury Clinic with such a great medical team. My love and passion for animals has become my work, that’s the reason I love this job so much. In my spare time I like to read, play tennis, to travel and spend quality time with my family. I am looking forward to meeting all owners and our pet-patients!

Liz Roberts Merry Hill

Liz Roberts BSc (Hons)

Practice Manager

I graduated from the University of Northampton in 2012 with a degree in Applied Animal Studies. I have previous work experience in other vet surgeries, RSPCA centres and I also worked at a local dairy farm. I have worked with Vets4Pets since early 2013 - splitting my time between this branch and our Oldbury branch. I love the variety of tasks I carry out, which include nursing, reception, administration duties and generally overseeing the running of the practice. I am also in charge of all the insurance claims put through at this branch.

I have a particular soft spot for both spaniels and collies as I have owned several previously. I also have a keen interest in dog behaviour and training. Most of my spare time is spent training and exercising my very intelligent, and very energetic rescue dog Molly, who is a four year-old springer spaniel cross Collie. I also own a very fluffy, rescued Norwegian Forest Cat called Cleo who is approximately 11 years old.

Demi Howen RVN

Head Veterinary Nurse

I am a newly qualified nurse and began as a student here over five years ago after completing A levels in biology, chemistry, physiology and art. I have a particular interest in orthopaedic surgery and wound management. I also hope to complete an emergency certificate in the near future.

I thoroughly enjoy working between our three practices, especially conducting my weight loss and diabetic clinics as they allow me to build a close relationship with both owner and patient.

I am very fond of large breed dogs with a soft spot for Staffies, this stemming from my own crazy staff Marley. In my free time I enjoy dog walking and reading.

Every day I look forward to meeting new clients and their pets and delivering the highest quality of care possible.

Beth V4P Merry Hill

Beth Golding

Student Veterinary Nurse

I am currently training as a veterinary nurse at this clinic whilst studying the Level 3 diploma in Veterinary Nursing at Halesowen College. I also did voluntary work at this practice for several months prior to starting my training which gave me more experience of a variety of animals. I am very proud to be part of the Vets4Pets Merry Hill team. I have experienced service from both ends as prior to starting here I was also a customer and brought my own dog to this practice & have seen that all the staff have the same passion for providing the best possible care and experience to every animal that visits us.

I have always had a passion for animals, so choosing a career path was extremely easy for me. In the future, I aspire to become a fully-qualified veterinary nurse, and hopefully own more animals! I currently live with my Shih-Tzu Oscar and my rabbit Charlie both of whom I adore!

Dom Allen

Animal Care Assistant

I previously worked at Pets at Home & during that time I gained hands-on experience with numerous animals, and completed several animal-related exams. This experience in the animal industry reinforced my natural passion for animals and made me want to pursue a higher level of training. I am hoping to return to college to train as a fully-qualified vet nurse in the near future.

I am an avid video maker and most of my free time is spent making short films and videos. I'm also a huge football and boxing fan. I've always had a huge love of animals which is shown through my large pet collection which consists of a Leonberger mountain dog, a Bengal cat, a rescue cat, two rabbits, two gerbils and a bearded dragon.

I have recently joined the practice and am thoroughly enjoying my time here. I am very animal orientated and have always aspired to work in the veterinary sector. I have completed a Level 3 diploma in Animal Management and hope to further my education & qualifications in the future. Throughout my childhood I owned a large variety of pets including rodents, birds, cats and dogs. I particularly have a soft spot for the larger dog breeds. I thoroughly look forward to meeting all the clients and their pets!

I started at this surgery in 2013 as a student Animal Nursing Assistant &, upon completion of that, I progressed onto Veterinary Nursing and will soon be a fully-qualified veterinary nurse.

In my free time I love to travel, go to music concerts and watch nature programmes on TV. I have always had a passion for all animals and live with two cats called Lily and Twinkle, a rescue greyhound called Tudor and a 5ft Corn snake called Pebbles.

Student Veterinary Nurse

I am a new member of the team. I have recently started studying veterinary nursing at Halesowen College. I have a great passion for what I am working to become. I have previously taken part with work experience at a mini zoo and stables where I cared for farm and exotic animals! At home I have a Chug (Chihuahua cross with Pug), a rescue Collie, a cat, Lion head rabbit and a young pony which I spend a lot of time with! I look forward to meeting all clients and their pets!

I previously worked in the human care sector, and have a lot of experience with charities relating to autism and the support of children with learning difficulties. Throughout this work, I saw the huge impact assistance dogs & pet ownership in general can have on people. My experience with my own pets & those I met through my work, taught me that there can be no more important a purpose in my life than supporting them, as they support us.

I have also owned many pets of the years, which currently include a golden Labrador called George, a huge cat called Berli, and a very friendly hamster called Lemmy! In my spare time I enjoy quiet nights in with books and TV. I am very much looking forward to meeting all of your pets!

Zoe Davis

Receptionist/Animal Care Assistant

After completing a BTEC national diploma in Animal Management at Halesowen College, I started working at our surgery in Oldbury (Companion Care Oldbury) before moving to this Merry Hill branch. I feel very privileged to be working with such amazing team of individuals, I also enjoy interacting with the clients and their animals and maybe having a munch or two!

I have a particular soft spot for the larger dog breeds such as Saint Bernard’s and Mastiffs. I volunteered in the equine industry for over 5 years before getting a horse of my own. During this time I have also owned a variety of small animals, and currently share my home with my cockapoo Milo, 1 Gerbil, 3 Rats, and a cheeky English Lop who thinks he is a dog. In my spare time I enjoy having a relaxing day down the stables and playing pool on the weekend with friends.
