Meet the team

Melissa Beck Nuneaton.JPG

Melissa Beck

Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2011. Since then I have worked all over the Midlands and Wales gaining experience. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary practice but my main clinical interests are within preventative medicine and palliative care.

Lucy and I met working at a local companion care and have worked closely together ever since. We feel that our areas of experience and interests complement each other well and our aim at vets4pets Nuneaton is to provide an exceptional level of clinical care to our patients and ultimate customer service to our clients.

At home I have two lovely dogs, an elderly Jack Russell Terrier called Blaze and a cheeky rescued Miniature Schnauzer called Daisy. Both who enjoy nothing more than a countryside walk followed by a sleep. I also have 2 cats, Domino and Tinkerbelle. Domino is particularly naughty, so don’t feel afraid to bring your kitty in to see us whatever the temperament.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends very soon.

Lucy Gunn

Practice Owner and Registered Veterinary Nurse

I've been working with animals since the age of 16, I knew I always wanted to work with and help animals, so I decided to pursue a career in Veterinary nursing. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in 2002.

I've worked in a variety of clinics including mixed practice and referral specialist centres. I've also been lucky enough to work for 12 months in Australia, where I gained valuable experience in a wide range of nursing tasks in different clinical environments.

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, but in particular I enjoy anaesthesia and preventative health care. I really enjoy talking to owners and their pets, I can usually be found in reception cuddling a furry patient or two!

I met Melissa a few years ago whilst working for a practice in Staffordshire and we have worked closely together ever since. We both have a strong passion for the veterinary profession and we believe we can achieve our aim at Vets4pets Nuneaton in creating and providing an exceptional level of clinical care to all our patients, whilst ensuring the ultimate customer service experience to all our clients.c

I have 2 Pugs at home, Lola is 11 years old and rescue pug Daisy who we adopted last year, they are older ladies who need lots of attention, so they keep me very busy. Both also enjoy a busy social calendar too and we regularly attend pug walks and parties with a local pug group. I have also recently rescued 2 sphynx cats mother and daughter: Duchess and Cleopatra. They enjoy lots of attention and regular bathing sessions, they are very playful and slightly naughty at times!

My family also keep me busy, I have a nearly 6 year old little boy who loves animals as much as I do.

I look forward to meeting you and your furry family very soon.

Amy Jones

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I qualified in June 2017 after completing my Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing at Moreton Morrell College and registered as a veterinary nurse in October 2017. I have always had a keen interest in animals – with particular interest in cats and rodents. I always make sure to practice cat friendly nursing techniques and try to get involved with any small furries that come in!

I have a cat of my own called Oscar, 2 degus and 4 rats. I hope to do further training in behaviour, dental care and exotics in the future.

I met Lucy and Melissa working in a local companion care and immediately knew I wanted to continue to work with them, so I am thrilled to be able to be a part of the team here at Vets4Pets Nuneaton and look forward to getting to know all our patients and their owners!

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been working in a veterinary practice for almost 5 years and have been a qualified nurse for 2, I love meeting new people with their fur-babies and making a big fuss of them as we all know the vets is a scary place!

I love caring for our poorly patients so you can rest assure that if your pet came into us they would be getting kisses and cuddles! As me and my partner have only been in our new home a year we have yet to share it with a furry! So we are in the quest of finding a bouncy boxer to join us.

I look forward to meeting your fur-children with advice, care and making them feel at ease with us at Nuneaton Vets4Pets!

Danielle O'Hara

Client Care Advisor

After having no vetinary experience before, I was never quite decided on what I wanted to do. Then, joining the company 3 years ago I completely fell in love with vetinary care and knew this was the job for me! I have always loved animals - monkeys are my absolute favourite! I worked with Lucy and Mel at a previous practice and we all bonded amazingly, so I am so thrilled to be working with them in their own practice.

The team here are so friendly and are always willing to help our clients to the best of their ability. If you were struggling with anything in particular or had any concerns, i'm your girl to come to and will be willing to help you in anyway I can. I am friendly and approachable, so you never have to worry about asking anything as we are all eager to give you any information you required.

I have a naughty black and white kitten called Nymeria - she has settled in to our crazy family both at home and vets4pets amazingly. When yourself and your pets arrive, I always love to have a cuddle of them! Make them feel abit calmer (if they're nervous) and make sure they have a warm welcome.

We are all a friendly bunch and cant wait to meet you and your gorgeous pets!

Katey Morgan

Receptionist

Hi, I am Katey and I am a part time receptionist at the practice. I am new to veterinary industry but have been here since we opened, I have loved meeting everyone with their gorgeous fur babies!

I have worked in hospitality, customer service and more recently the NHS for most of my career. So it is fair to say I love meeting and working with people; I love the added bonus of working with animals now too.

I grew up with dogs and cats, but now I am known as a crazy bunny lady as I have house rabbits. I've had rabbits for 6 years and they free roam 24/7 in my house, just like cats! I adore them and I am passionate about rabbit welfare, so feel free to ask me anything about their care, behaviour and personalities! My dream is to visit Rabbit island in Japan.

I am looking forward to more great years working here, learning every day and of course, cuddling all of your lovely pets
