Meet the Peterborough Bretton vet team

Cees Bennett VetMB MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

Having grown up on a farm in Wales I always wanted to be a vet and care for animals. That led me on to spend 6 years as an Army vet gaining some amazing experiences and skills, but I knew eventually I wanted my own surgery to provide the level of care I believe is important for both pets and their owners.

For the last 3 years I have worked hard to build a great reputation for pet and client care at Vets4Pets Peterborough and I am really excited to now offer this same quality care to a new area with our excellent new surgery. I look forward to greeting everyone soon at Vets4Pets Bretton.

Veterinary Surgeon and Partner

My love of animals started at a very young age, where as I grew up I had a strong interest in science and this led me to study to become a vet at Bristol University.

Since then I have gained experience working at several small animal surgeries and I was thrilled to join the Vets4Pets Peterborough team in January, where I have been able to provide the high quality of care I strive for, with a friendly, personal service. I am very excited by the opportunity to open a new ‘sister’ practice in Bretton to continue this.

I enjoy building relationships with my patients and their owners, treating each patient as an individual and I look forward to getting to know you and your much loved family pets.

Veterinary Surgeon

I am a full time vet at Vets4Pets Bretton. I graduated from Bristol in 2010 and since then have worked in small animal practice. I enjoy working with exotic animals - especially rabbits! In my spare time I like to bake cakes for people, watch films and go to theme-parks!

At home I have a very spoilt rabbit, and an inquisitive hamster! I look forward to seeing you and your pet soon!

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 and started at Vets4Pets in 2014. I enjoy working with all kinds of animals but have a special interest in dentistry, ophthalmology and looking after our older pets.

Just like people, I think that our pets are only as old as they feel! At home, I have two Springer Spaniels, called Cleo and Nero, and we do agility and heel work together. I also have a ginger cat, called Cairo, who is very naughty!

I joined the Vets4Pets team in March 2016 and originally qualified in Poland in 2012. I have worked in small animal practices in Poland and Canada before moving to UK. I am enthusiastic about all aspects of veterinary practice with special emphasis on critical care and feline medicine. I am fluent in both English and Polish and take pleasure in camping and hiking with my dog Tami.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have been in practice since 1997 and qualified as a registered nurse in 2002. I have worked in small animal, mixed/equine and exotic practices and gained my certificate in exotic veterinary nursing shortly after I qualified.

I have recently graduated from University gaining my advanced certificate in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I am a keen horse rider in my spare time, if I ever get any, as I am busy at home looking after my husband, two young children, Shanobi the dog, George the cat, Coco the guinea pig, and Herbie and Tiddles the tortoises.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with animals and had a variety of pets growing up. I completed a National Diploma in animal management and after this gained my NVQ 2 and 3 in dog grooming. I always had a passion for helping animals and this was when I decided to train as a Veterinary Nurse. I qualified with my foundation science degree from Nottingham Trent in July 2013.

Since qualifying, I have continued my studies and have topped up my Veterinary Nursing degree and have now obtained my full BSc (Hons) in veterinary nursing. I have a keen interest in travel and have been lucky enough to work with infant animals in South Africa and Costa Rica. I would like my next big working holiday to be in Thailand working with elephants and turtles. I have started my advanced certificate in canine and equine physiotherapy and would like to eventually obtain my full MSc in animal physiotherapy.

I love getting to know my patients and will always do my best to treat your animals as I would my own.

Laura Ball V4P Bretton

Laura Ball

Student Veterinary Nurse

I graduated from BSc (Hons) Bioveterinary Science at the University of Lincoln in September 2013 and started working at Vets4Pets Bretton in November of the same year. My favourite part of the job is getting to stand in and observe operations and meeting clients and patients.

I have a beautiful black and white cat called Miranda whom I adopted from a local charity in Lincoln. I recently acquired a rabbit from downstairs (Pets at Home) who came in for some TLC, was affectionately nicknamed Dribbler (which stuck) and then came home with me. My passion has always been to work with animals and my future aspiration is to become a qualified veterinary nurse.

I joined Vets4Pets in 2015 as a Veterinary Care Assistant and am now studying to become a Veterinary Nurse. I have a dog, a cat, three snakes and fish at home and love working with a variety of animals. The best part of my job is seeing pets go home once they are better!

Receptionist

I have been working at Vets4Pets Bretton since it opened in November 2013. I am lucky to have a job that I look forward to going to and work with a team of friendly, professional people. I like the variety of the job and enjoy meeting clients and their pets. I love animals of any size, shape and temperament and believe they give so much more than they take.

I have had many pets over the years, from as small as guinea pigs to as big as horses. I currently have a very old goldfish and two cats - a large tabby called Whiskey Dave and his tiny, black sister Milly (aka innocent Millicent) who is always up to no good! I am married with two grown-up children and a grandson.
