Helen Merriman

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I was born and bred in Manchester, attending Manchester High School for Girls. I qualified as a Vet in 1996 from the University of Liverpool and have worked in and around Greater Manchester ever since.

My four-legged family includes two Italian Spinones, Cocoa and Frank and two rescued cats, Phoenix and Betty, who has three legs. The two legged family includes a husband and two sons. And not forgetting the tropical fish and koi!

I am proud to be serving the pets and their humans of Prestwich and the surrounding areas. I am confident that you will be happy with the personal care that my team and I aim to provide.

Rachel Stevens

Head Veterinary Nurse

I have been nursing for over 8 years, in both first opinion and referral practices which have allowed me to gain great experience in surgical and medical cases, with no two days being the same.

Over the past 3 years I have been lucky enough to not only have nursed in the UK but also in Thailand and Dubai, where I worked with elephants, monkeys, bears and crocodiles to name a few amazing creatures.

In 2014 I was a lecturer in Veterinary Nursing which was very rewarding, passing skills and knowledge onto students with the same passion as myself.

Elvis and Cash are my loyal companions and side-kicks, two rescue dogs; a Border collie and Lurcher who adore running…luckily I do too!

I feel honoured as a Veterinary Nurse to work alongside such wonderful animals in my care.

Steph Clegg

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in July 2016 after studying BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing and graduating at Myerscough College.  I have always loved animals and currently own 3 cats called Mischief, Tiddles and Smudge, along with 2 rabbits called Otis and Poppy.

I love all aspects of nursing, especially nursing rabbits and other small furries!

I love meeting new people and in my spare time I love to spend time with friends and family along with baking lots of delicious treats.

Bev Evans

I love being involved with the pets and their families. My experience with animals comes from always having a variety of pets growing up. I have a shih tzu called Suki who we love.  It’s great working as a team.  Who wouldn't love cuddling kittens, puppies and small furies all day as part of your job. BONUS.

Beth Field

I have always had a strong passion for all animals since a young age with the ambition to work with and alongside them. To begin this adventure I studied Animal Management in college then moved from my home town in Redditch to Salford in 2013 to study Wildlife Conservation with Zoo Biology at university.

Now a graduate, I happily continue to live up North with my husband and our rescue GSD cross, Benny, our two bunnies, Flopsy and Maxie and lots of fish!

My main goal in life is to one day have my own animal sanctuary. I would also love the opportunity to travel overseas to work with charities that help rescue animals and help make positive changes to animal welfare. To help achieve this I need to continue to gain valuable experience. I find myself extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work within a veterinary practice working alongside colleagues who share the same compassion towards animals.  But also who wouldn't want to be surrounded by animals on a daily basis?

Adrianna Stacey

Hello, my name is Adrianna and I am a full time receptionist at Vets4Pets in Prestwich.

I am originally from London but consider Manchester as my hometown as I have lived here for 19 years.  My work background is very corporate and consists of working in Banking, Legal and Compliance, however from an early age I have always been passionate about animals and animal welfare.

I am a mum of two and am currently owned by my cat called Banksy and my puppy Nelly, who you may get to meet when you visit the practice.

I am proud to join the Vets4Pets work family and I am passionate about providing the best service to our customers and their beloved pets.

My aspirations are to move into Practice Management in the future.

I look forward to meeting you all soon.
