Helen Merriman

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I was born and bred in Manchester, attending Manchester High School for Girls. I qualified as a Vet in 1996 from the University of Liverpool and have worked in and around Greater Manchester ever since.

My four-legged family includes two Italian Spinones, Cocoa and Frank and two rescued cats, Phoenix and Betty, who has three legs. The two legged family includes a husband and two sons. And not forgetting the tropical fish and koi!

I am proud to be serving the pets and their humans of Prestwich and the surrounding areas. I am confident that you will be happy with the personal care that my team and I aim to provide.

Richard Rawling

Veterinary Surgeon

I qualified as a Vet in 2007 from the University of Glasgow and have spent time working in Scotland and Lincolnshire before settling in Greater Manchester in 2012. I joined the team at Prestwich Vets4Pets in September 2017.

I have a keen interest in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and look forward to being able to help expand the surgical treatment options we can offer to our clients.

I share my home with my wife, two giant slobbery dogs, Henley (St Bernard) and Yoshie (Newfoundland), Neko the “normal” cat and Chris the Ninja Pirate a one eyed sneezy nutty Bengal cross.

In my spare time I love tinkering, we are currently restoring a 1965 Volkswagen camper van when I can pull myself away from building and flying racing drones!

Louise Swain RVN

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I have always had a keen interest in animals, particularly in wildlife, and completed an Animal Science Degree at Worcester University in July 2009. I started nursing in January 2010, and after studying for two years at Myerscough college, became a qualified, Registered Veterinary Nurse in September 2012.

Since then I have worked in a couple of small animal first opinion practices, before joining the team here at Vets4Pets Prestwich. I love the fact that every day in this job is different and as much as I love working with our furry friends, I also enjoy interacting with their owners! My furry family consists of two male guinea pigs called Daddy Pig and George!

Bev Evans

I love being involved with the pets and their families. My experience with animals comes from always having a variety of pets growing up. I have a shih tzu called Suki who we love.  It’s great working as a team.  Who wouldn't love cuddling kittens, puppies and small furies all day as part of your job. BONUS.
