Krzysztof Kozarzewski

Veterinary Surgeon & Partner

After qualifying in Poland in 2004 I moved to the UK and worked in small and large animal practices for 7 years. There I gained extensive skills in first opinion medicine and surgery. After this I focused on small animals and worked in both first opinion as well as emergency and critical care hospitals.

From the beginning of August 2016 I became the co-owner and the senior vet of the Vets4Pets in Somercotes. I feel privileged to work with such a dedicated and professional team of nurses and receptionists.

My main veterinary interests are small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. My motto is that being a vet is a way of life, not just a job. Therefore, I’m also involved in the treatment and rehabilitation of wild and domestic animals at the Brinsley Animal Rescue.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, stargazing, walking and cuddling my dog Max and the three mischievous cats: Megan, Leya and Corey.

Veterinary Nurse & Partner

I qualified as an RVN in a small animal practice in Barry, South Wales in 2004. I lived near the beach and enjoyed walking my Bull Terrier here, which he also loved.

I have since moved to Derbyshire where I now live with my husband and our 2 small children. We enjoy walking in our spare time, bike riding and taking part in country shows with livestock and our dogs. We share our house with 3 dogs, Boomer my old Bull Terrier, Cali, a Springer spaniel and Bear a young and bouncy Labrador. I compete for fun in local gundog scurries with my 2 younger dogs.

I have worked at Somercotes Vets4Pets since opening and became partner with Krzysztof in August.

Registered Veterinary Nurse

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 and have spent my career working in Small Animal Hospitals. I also spent some time working for an out-of-hours Emergency and Critical Care provider furthering my knowledge in this field.  I enjoy all aspects of my job and have a further qualification which allows me to train future Veterinary Nurses. I joined the team here at Vets 4 Pets when we first opened in March 2016 and look forward to working with this highly motivated and friendly team.

I have only been a veterinary receptionist since we opened here in Somercotes in March 2016. My background before that was Dental Nursing. I am thoroughly enjoying my new career being the animal lover that I am. I hope I continue to be part of this great team for many years to come. At present I own 1 dog and 2 ferrets but I’m certain this will increase at some stage

I have gained a lot of medical knowledge whilst being in the veterinary industry (even in this short space of time). This helps with the wellbeing of my own animals and helps me to understand better in order book the correct appointments.

I have been at Somercotes Vets4Pets since the opening in March 2016. Prior to that I have always worked with horses as it is a big passion of mine. As soon as I left school I went to college to focus my ambition on animals. I have my horse Emblem, a Jack Russell called Louie, Two Dachshunds Riley and Tarn, two chickens and a Cockerel. It has always been a dream of mine to work in the Veterinary industry as I want to improve my skills and I am very excited about working with this excellent team here at Somercotes.
