Vets4Pets Straiton

Meet the Straiton vet team

Pentland Vets4Pets Amy Dyce

Dr. Amy Dyce BSc BVM&S MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I studied Zoology at Aberdeen before moving to Edinburgh to achieve a lifelong dream of becoming a vet, qualifying from the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Studies in 2012. Since then I have worked in small animal practice in York, before returning to Edinburgh to undertake an internship at the Hospital for Small Animals.

I have been with Vets4Pets since September 2014 and I'm looking forward to opening my own practice in Straiton.

I have a rescued mongrel called Badger, a husband called Andrew and love knitting and sewing, cheese and wine!

Pentland Vets4Pets Tara Dalgleish

Tara Dalgleish MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

My name is Tara Dalgleish. I hail all the way from the USA. I came to Edinburgh for vet school at the Royal Dick and fell in love with the country and my now husband Andrew. We have two cats and a dog, Tsuki (aka the angry one), Maisie and a 13 year old Yorkie who came across the pond with me.

We also have a son, Noah who will hopefully love animals as much as I do. When I'm not vetting I like knitting, quilting, reading and gardening, but that's only when my son isn't needing constant attention!

My favourite animal is the Giraffe because they are just really neat!

I'm really excited to be part of this new practice, and to work with my classmate, Amy!

Pentland Vets4Pets Katharine Ross

Katharine Ross

Receptionist and Student Veterinary Nurse

After graduating from The University of Nottingham with a BA Hons in Literature and Languages, I spent a few years travelling and teaching English and working in shelters around Europe- fostering puppies and kittens in my spare time. A few decided to stick around and join in the adventure- Clement the Lurcher, Panserbjørn the Ginger Tabby, and Dominic the Molecular Biologist- We enjoy walking, reading, drinking wine and raiding the bin (some more than others...)!

We all moved to Edinburgh in October 2015, and I was given the opportunity to turn my hobby into a career working with animals becoming a receptionist at Vets4Pets Straiton alongside an incredible team and applied to study Veterinary Nursing in September 2015!

I look forward to joining the clinical team behind the scenes as a student VN as well as continuing to welcome our clients and their pets at reception!
