Wellingborough Vets4Pets Ellen Siedlecki

Ellen Siedlecki MRCVS DVM

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I moved across the pond in 2010 after practicing small animal routine/emergency medicine and surgery in The States. I wanted a chance to travel and exeperience how other countries approach veterinary care. I graduated with a doctorate of veterinary medicine from the Univeristy of Florida in 2003. Wellingborough has been my new home for the last five years. I just got an allotment! I feel proud continuing the British tradition of allotment gardening.

When not pottering among the rhubarb and fruit trees, I enjoy a good run. My three dogs, two Jack Russels and a Lurcher, prefer a leisurly walk through local parks.

Initially I worked as a small animal veterinarian in the Wellingborough area caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I took a break from day practice in 2014, returning to out of hours for Vets Now. As one of their roving veterinarians I covered the Midlands, and on occasion southern Wales. It was a great way to see the island! I turned back to day practice when the opportunity arose with Vets4Pets to open a practice in Wellingborough.

I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new clients in the new Vets4Pets practice in Wellingborough!

Daniel Pousada MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

After coursing High School in Michigan (United States) I decided to come back home to get a degree in Veterinary Science, attending to University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). I always liked to travel and learn from other cultures, so in the mean time I completed my education in places like Wroclaw (Poland), Malta and Boston (Massachusetts). Since I graduated in 2012, after a short period in Madrid dealing with Tick’s disease, I was working all around the UK, first with Farm Animals, and then in Small Animal practice, locuming all around the country visiting places as Kent, Liverpool or the Isle of Wight, which I really enjoyed and let me get to know all different parts of the British culture.

I started working in Wellingborough right before the practice opened, alongside my colleague and main vet Ellen and the rest of the team, which are very helpful on day-to-day and I really enjoy working with them. Since I am living in Wellingborough, a massive 1.5kg Guinea Pig is living with me and if you are lucky enough will be able to see him helping me with the consults down in Castlefield Retail Park, where our practice is. His name is Big Dude.

In my spare time I like to keep fit and going to the gym, watching football, meeting with friends and also playing chess competitions. I am really looking forward to meeting you and your pets in our practice, and helping you with any issue that may arise.
