Rachel Woodward BVMS GPCert (ExAP) MRCVS

Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

Hi I’m Rachel. I’m a Veterinary Surgeon and one of the partners here at Widnes Vets4Pets. I am a born and raised Widnesian and am looking forward to meeting you and your pets. I studied at Glasgow Veterinary School and took a detour via a busy mixed practice in Lincolnshire to come back home to Widnes.

I thoroughly enjoy my job. I have an interest in exotic species and am very happy to say that I have recently completed a post graduate certificate in exotic animal practice. I also really enjoy surgery, so watch this space for future developments in this area.

I have a crazy springer spaniel called Poppy, who can often be found at the surgery as our patient welcoming department/extra receptionist. I also have a Syrian hamster called Pudding who loves treats.

Outside of work I can be found playing my saxophone as part of Liverpool Hope Concert Band, or having long walks with Poppy.

Christine Topolski RVN A1 V1

Owner & Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I’m Christine and have worked in small animal practice for 17 years. I enjoy all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and have a keen interest in dermatology and laboratory analysis. I also have a soft spot for the adorable puppies and kittens arriving for their primary vaccinations.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and having long walks along the beach and in the sand dunes with my 8 year old rescue Rottweiler Lola.

Widnes Vets4Pets Robyn

Robyn Mcilwrath RVN

Owner & Veterinary Nurse

Hi, my name is Robyn!

I grew up in Liverpool and achieved my qualification as a veterinary nurse in 2012. Since then I have worked with small animals and exotic pets.

Being a veterinary nurse is a very rewarding career, I particularly enjoy nurse clinics. This gives me the opportunity of getting to know patients and clients very well.

I have two cheeky guinea pigs called Buddy and Happy. They are both indoor pigs and love their home comforts. I have been given the name “Crazy Guinea Pig Lady” which I love.

Widnes Vets4Pets Aileen Scott

Aileen Scott BVMS MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Hi, I'm Aileen. I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2011 and moved to New Zealand, where I worked in a mixed practice for 3 years. I had a great time over there, but decided to come back to the UK to see more of my family.

After spending a lot of time with dairy cows, I am now enjoying seeing a wider variety of small animal patients. Particular interests are surgery and wound management.

Outside of work I enjoy hillwalking, skiing, photography and attempting to surf.
