Lichfield Vets4Pets

I am a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with interest in soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and intern medicine. I graduated from vet school in Romania, Timisoara, in 2011. Outside of work I enjoy the time spent with my little family including Mitzi the two year old rescued cat.

I started my career working with Horses as a Riding Instructor but decided quickly I enjoyed caring for animals and their welfare so changed direction and trained as a veterinary Nurse qualifying in 1997. I have had a varied and long career as a veterinary Nurse working in first opinion practices, referral practices and emergency hospitals.  The roles I enjoy most are theatre, monitoring anaesthetics and Nurse Clinics where I get to interact with clients and their pets getting to know them on a personal level and helping with advice and care. Outside of work I have an elderly dog called Paolo who enjoys lots of walks with my husband and myself. I also have a love of Travel and intend to visit more countries in the coming years.

I have worked in a client facing role for over 16 years. I have a degree in Sociology and Diploma in Paediatric Nursing, specialising in Public Health (School Nursing). I have always had a passion for animal welfare “people with paws”. This made me decide as I changed career I wanted to follow my dream to work in the vet industry. I gained a triple distinction in 2019 in my National Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Rodbaston College. After a work experience placement as part of the course, I started to work as a Client Care Advisor as Sutton Coldfield Vets4Pets. Pursuing a hands-on role caring for both animals and their people, I became a Veterinary Care Assistant at Lichfield Vets4Pets . I love my job and the challenges it brings. I have seven rescue cats, one with special needs. My daughter lives away from home and is an Adult Mental Health Nurse.

My name is Katie, I am a Client care advisor working on reception, Animals are my passion and having spent most of my childhood caring for pets ranging from dogs, cats, Guinea pigs and hamsters. I decided to further my knowledge and trained as an Animal Nursing Assistant qualifying in December 2005. I love being hands on helping the Nurses whenever I get the opportunity. I also have further qualifications in Animal care and grooming. In my personal life I am married with 2 young children who keep me really busy. We have a beautiful family pet cat called Missy who is full of mischief.

My name is Katy, I am one of the client care advisors here at Lichfield. I am still relatively new to the Veterinary industry but enjoy every aspect of the job. My aim is to ensure all our clients and furry friends are happy when they visit. I know my little furry friend Bella loves to visit even just for a cuddle with the team
