Pollokshaws Vets for Pets

I'm Michelle, your Practice Partner and Senior Vet in the practice. I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2005, and moved to Lancashire where I spent 9 years in small animal practice. Four years after qualifying, I became the sole practitioner in a branch surgery of a busy referral hospital and had the opportunity to spend time working alongside many specialists in their field. In 2015, I became the partner at Newton Mearns Vets for Pets and now we have recently moved to Glasgow Pollokshaws Vets for Pets.

I am very proud of what we have achieved and am thankful for the incredibly hard working team we have who keep the practice running with their knowledge and expertise to keep your pets healthy. Client, patient care and client continuity is very important to me and I particularly enjoy developing trusting relationships with both clients and patients.

I enjoy working up medical cases, have an interest in rabbit health and although I love seeing all furry friends, have a secret love for cats! I absolutely love being a vet, and although some days can be challenging, I love being part of such a great team who are highly committed to providing the very best care for your pets. 

I live in the West end of Glasgow with my husband and our two children. When I'm not looking after patients, I am most often found running around after my kids! I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping fit, travelling and cooking.

I'm Natalie and I joined the team in December 2021 on the weekend rota.

I graduated from Glasgow University in 2012 and spent 18 months in Cheshire before moving back to Glasgow where I have worked in small animal practice since.

I love working with pets and their owners to provide a high standard of care. I have a particular interest in clinical animal behaviour.

At home I have a husband, two young children and two dogs who keep me busy and when I have spare time I enjoy baking.

I graduated from Bristol University in 2013 and then stayed in the area to complete an internship at a referral hospital learning from a variety of specialists with a focus on emergency and critical care.

Since then I’ve remained in small animal practice, initially with a move to South East London where I was sole charge at a newly opened branch practice associated with a larger hospital. I’ve also been fortunate along the way to be involved in a few projects abroad providing routine neutering and healthcare for stray animals. 

I’ve eventually worked my way back home to Scotland to be closer to family, joining the Pollokshaws team in January 2024. I have a particular interest in all things medicine and love working up a complex case, with a special soft spot for our feline friends.

Outside of work I’m currently kept busy by my young daughter and demanding British Shorthair.

I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2018 and joined Pollokshaws in March 2026! I moved down to Manchester after graduating but I always wanted to return to Glasgow so I’m delighted to be back.

I am particularly interested in neurology (for example, managing epileptic patients) and have carried out over 20 hours of additional training in ultrasound scanning which I really enjoy doing. I love getting to know clients and meet their fantastic pets, and I love how varied the job is – certainly no two days are the same!

In my spare time, I enjoy reading chunky fantasy books, exploring new restaurants in Glasgow and seeing the world. My Country Count is currently at 33, and I’m excited to add to the list!

I joined the team at Vets for Pets Pollokshaws in August 2021.

I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2004 and have worked in small animal general practice in and around Glasgow ever since. In 2010 I completed the ABVA foundation course in veterinary acupuncture. I also particularly enjoy soft tissue surgery.

I grew up with a passion for animals and animal welfare. Having had a variety of pets including budgies, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and a rabbit and having recently lost our two 16 year old family border terriers, I know both the joy and the heartache that pet ownership brings.

I have 2 young children which keep me very busy but I have recently found some time to enjoy horse riding again.

I'm Lucy and I joined Vets for Pets Pollokshaws as Head Nurse in April 2020.

Prior to veterinary nursing I graduated from University of London with a BSc in Zoology. 

I moved to Scotland in 2005 and live in Glasgow with my husband and our cat Missy.  Outside of work I can be found in the garden, getting lost in a good book and planning travel adventures.

I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2014 after completing my Level 3 Diploma. I joined the Pollokshaws team back in January 2020 as an RVN and promoted to Senior Veterinary Nurse in 2024.

I have been with Vets for Pets Pollokshaws for the last 2 and a half years starting as a student nurse before having recently qualified and taken on a full-time role at the practice as a permanent RVN. 

No two days are the same - we do everything from assisting vets with clinical/surgical work, doing consultations, running lab samples, taking and processing x-rays, caring for in-patients, monitoring anaesthesia to providing lots of fuss for your pets!

I spend most of my free time hanging out with my girlfriend and our little girl but I also love reading, cooking and going to the gym when I have time.

I joined Vets for Pets Newton Mearns in June 2015 as a Receptionist following a number of years in the hospitality sector. In July 2018 I was promoted to the Practice Manager which has given me lots of new challenges.

I have always enjoyed being with animals so this was the perfect job for me to move into. I love working with a fantastic hardworking and supportive team, and meeting so many wonderful patients and their owners.

In my spare time I love to travel as much as I can and enjoy playing pickleball, walking and cycling.

I joined the team at the end of September 2024 and, although it has been a bit of a whirlwind, I have enjoyed every minute of it. Having graduated in 2018 from Edinburgh Napier with a BA Hons in International Festival and Event Management, I spent most of my early career working in the conservation sector in a variety of people engagement based roles. I love animals and working with people so when this role came up it seemed like a perfect fit for me!

I love all pets but have a massive soft spot for cats having had them growing up and having two of the furry little gremlins currently.

I am a massive bookworm so spend a lot of my free time curled up with my cats reading or going on adventures with friends and family.

I started in practice at the end of March 2025, and although it has been the first time I have worked in a veterinary practice, I have loved every minute of it. With three dogs and a cat at home, being surrounded by pets is a natural environment for me!

Having previously worked on reception at an opticians, it has been great to be in a new role that uses similar processes (although puppy cuddles are definitely a new perk!).

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my three children, going on nights out with friends and walking my dogs. 

I have been a staff member from April 2022 and its been my first time working in a veterinary practice. I adore my job working in the practice, no day is the same. I am very much a people person, which is a big part of being on reception as you are the first smiley, friendly person owners are dealing with . My love for animals is huge but especially dogs and cats and the best part is getting cuddles form all the kittens and puppies.

I have a cat (Coco) who is 14 year old and a wonderful lady and hoping to get a dog one day. I previously volunteered for Borrow my doggie which is a fantastic charity to help people out walking there doggies when they are not around, it was a very satisfying role and hope to go back to it one day

In my previous role I was in sales for a major hotel company which I was made redundant and thought I would try something different which has worked out for me. I am a very sociable person and love going out with friends and also keeping active at the gym and my biggest passion is my holidays.

I moved to Glasgow from Northern Ireland for university in 2019, and have recently completed a masters in the Psychology of Human-Animal Interactions at Stirling University. I joined the Vets for Pets Pollokshaws reception team in November 2024 and absolutely love getting to work with a team of such talented and intelligent staff, and feel like I leave each shift having learned something new.

I'm passionate about all animals and currently have a hamster with me in Glasgow, as well as a dog, a rabbit, a leopard gecko, and an African land snail at home in Ireland.

Working at the vet's has been a perfect match for me as I love getting to meet all of our furry friends and their owners!

I joined the team in August 2024 as part of our client care reception team, greeting all our clients and their pets (along with providing plenty of snacks for both the pets and my colleagues!).

My favourite part of the job has to be the cuddles and kisses from all the pets who come to see us daily.

All my spare time is spent with my kids and my mini zoo I have at home, and if I have time curling up with a good book and a cuppa. I also run a non profit and work in the Pets at Home team so a lot of people see me on both sides of the desk (my kids say I live here!)
