Lewis graduated from Liverpool University in 2005 and started off in a small animal practice in worksop. In 2013 Lewis joined the Vets for Pets team before moving back to the North West in 2015 to become a JVP at Ashton-Under-Lyne. He has a keen interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. Lewis has Barney a crossbreed dog and two cats; Tesni and her son who is called Saber. When Lewis has free time he enjoys spending it with his family. For Lewis being part of the Vets4pets family means being able to offer value for money without cutting corners, while being a small, local team means our clients see familiar faces that provide them a personal friendly service.

Liggy-Mae joined the team in September 2020 after graduating as a Vet from the University of Bristol. She is enjoying meeting all the clients and their pets. Liggy-Mae has an interest in Dentistry and is passionate about animal welfare, particularly small animal husbandry. She has two very cute hamsters: a Hybrid dwarf called ‘Marshmallow the Butter Bean’ and a Roborovski called ‘Peanut Butter Pancakes’. In her spare time she enjoys learning new crafts and spending time outdoors.

After graduating as a Vet from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in September 2023, Alexandra moved to the UK and joined the team here in Ashton. She loves getting to know all the pets that come to consult and their unique characters. Her interest is shared between surgery and ophthalmology, but besides that, Alex loves helping the owners with whatever concern they may have. She has a crossbreed dog named Bitxo, and a cat called Nit, both rescues. In her free time, Alex enjoys painting and gardening.

Zak graduated from the University of Liverpool and has since been working in small animal practice. His interests mainly lie within emergency and critical care medicine/surgery, as well as ultrasonography. Outside of work, Zak loves to travel and visit new countries. On the weekends, he enjoys attending social events with friends in Manchester and partaking in the odd spicy margarita.

Elaine started working at Vets for Pets Ashton in 2007 later becoming the partner nurse in 2017 alongside Lewis. Elaine loves all animals and is particularly interested in pet behavioural problems. Elaine owns the beautiful Lucy a Shire cross horse. In her free time Elaine enjoys spending time with Lucy. Elaine is proud to have seen the practice grow over the years into the great team it now is.

Debbie has been with Vets for Pets Ashton since 2008, she has worked in Veterinary since leaving school. Debbie feels lucky to be someone who's job is her passion. She has two beautiful horses Betty and Doris, two spaniels and two hand reared sheep. When she isn't in work she can be found at her farm or out at events with her horses.

Hayley joined the team in October 2020 as an RVN. She has worked in veterinary since 2014, initially as a receptionist and working her way to RVN. She enjoys all aspects of her job particularly animal behaviour, microscopy and being theatre nurse. Hayley has a giant crossbreed dog called Fuller and a cat called Dennis, a failed foster that she hand reared. Hayley also has horses and spends most of her free time with them.

Camilla loves being a RVN and qualified in 2014. She came and joined the team here at Vets for Pets in 2020 she enjoys nutrition and helping owners to get the most for their pets from their food, she has helped a number of our patients in weight clinics. Camilla has two lovable rogues Kook a black cat and Elmo a ginger cat, both of which Camilla adopted while working in vets. Camilla enjoys being outdoorsy and spends most of her spare time out with her partner.

Michelle joined us in December 2014 as a receptionist after previously training as a physiotherapist. She loves to see all the pets that come to see us and getting to know them and their owners.  Michelle has Daisy, Frostie and Theo the pugs. Polo the ragdoll and two horses called Flick and Dee. Michelle loves to spend her spare time with her pets and friends, usually walking the dogs or competing the horses.

Helen started with us in 2018, bringing with her approximately 17 years’ experience working as a vet receptionist. She enjoys meeting all the pets and enjoys being able to watch them go from pups/kittens to older patients. Helen has 3 cats Pumpkin, Tinkerbelle and queenie Tuts and an American Bulldog Cross called Vinnie who is big daft and dozy. In her spare time Helen loves to spend it with her grandchildren.

She has 2 horses Arnie and Jacko as well as little Vinnie the Patterdale Terrier cross. Outside of work Sarah loves to spend time with her horses and is regularly seen out competing them.

Maria joined us in March 2024 to embrace her passion for animals, after bring up her two children. She has a Cocker spaniel called Miley, Sergio the cat and her beloved pony, Tilly. Maria loves spending time with all of her animals, they are a huge part of her life. She is happiest with her horse, whether that be spending time together in the stable or out on long rides with her friends. Maria love meeting new people and their pets, therefore her role with us suits her perfectly.

Vienna moved to Manchester in 2025 from Hong Kong with her gentle giant Pyrenean dog Bella. Before moving to the UK Vienna completed a number of qualifications to help her in her role as a Senior Veterinary Nurse in a busy 24 hour small animal and exotic hospital and has worked in the veterinary field for over 10 years. Animals have always been a big part of her life and loves being able to help animals (and their people) every day. When she is not in work, you will usually find her curled up on the sofa with Bella, snacking on crisps and nori, binge watching the big bang theory or Downton Abbey.
