Brighouse Vets for Pets

Hi I’m Caroline. I joined the team at Vets for Pets Brighouse in September 2019, having worked at my previous small animal practice since I graduated as a vet in 2006. I enjoy all aspects of my job but have a passion for surgery, both soft tissue and orthopaedic, and this led me to complete the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Small Animal Surgery) in 2013. I made the decision to move practices and join the team here at Brighouse not only because I wanted to take on a new challenge and progress in my career, but I was also excited to be involved in the continued growth and development of this fantastic Vets for Pets practice. I became a partner and owner of the practice in May 2021. I thoroughly enjoy leading our wonderful team and I am extremely proud of the excellent service and high quality of care we provide to both our clients and our patients.

I am still very dedicated to continued learning and development in my job and a more recent interest of mine is the fascinating world of eyes! This led me to complete another post-grad certificate in the field of veterinary ophthalmology, which I completed in 2025; this enables me to offer a higher level of service to our many patients that present with eye problems.

When I’m not working or studying, the majority of my time is spent looking after my two amazing little girls, and enjoying all that family life has to offer! 

Hi, I'm Steph! The Practice Manager here at Brighouse. My background before my days in Veterinary is all about people, operation and efficiency management. I have a massive passion for a ‘great place to work’ and really believe that if you look after your team, they will look after your business, and in turn look after your pets!

Hi I'm Izzy (Izabela). I graduated from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland, in 2021 and have worked in the UK as a General Practitioner since. I grew up in the countryside and animals of all kinds have always been part of my life. I started postgraduate training in Small Animal Surgery but also have a great passion for internal medicine and emergency work which makes me a very versatile vet. I want to follow my patients throughout their life and want the families to feel supported through both the greatest and hardest times.
When not in the clinic, I enjoy watching cooking shows, exercising or hanging out with friends. I don't have pets myself but got my parents a rescue puppy from work which now brightens their life! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Hi I’m Emily. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in July 2022, and have been working in the veterinary profession since 2018. Since qualifying I have worked within a veterinary hospital as well as doing out of hours dealing with a range of emergencies. 

My name is Elyse and I joined the Brighouse team as a registered veterinary nurse in October 2024. I have always loved animals and have always had a passion working with them and making sure they get the best possible care they need. In my free time I enjoy taking my two dogs, Percy and Ed for long walks and going out with my friends in my spare time.

Hi I’m Freya. I’m a Registered Veterinary Nurse who joined the team at Brighouse Vets for Pets in January 2026. I have a keen interest in all things surgery and anaesthesia. I also enjoy geriatric clinics and supporting rehabilitation. In my spare time, I love hiking with my cockapoo Bindi - together we have completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and Snowdon to name a few.

Hi I’m Dayna. I previously worked as a VCA in a small independent practice for over two years. I joined the team at Brighouse Vets for Pets in October 2021. I have always had a passion for working with animals and couldn’t dream of a more wonderful career. I am now on the path to becoming a registered veterinary nurse, after beginning my studies in April 2023.

When I’m not working, I love to spend time with family and friends. I like going on drives, listening to music and going to the cinema. I also love dancing.

Hi my name is Laura. This is my first job in veterinary care and I am loving it. I have always loved animals and wanted to help them but never thought I would get the chance. I have been here since November 2023. 
The team here are very helpful and caring with any queries or concerns, and I am proud to be a part of it.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, being out in  nature of playing with my 3 beautiful furry feline boys. 
I look forward to meeting you and your furry babies and giving them plenty of cuddles and helping them relax during their visit. 

Hi, I’m Lauren! 

I grew up in Manchester and studied Wildlife Conservation at Salford University. I am interested in wildlife biology and have volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation abroad on a number of occasions. I started working at Vets for Pets in Brighouse in 2018 for 1 year before I left to go travelling for 5 years. I returned to the UK in July 2024 and started working at the practice again. I am now an owner of a crazy Labrador X border collie puppy called Nora. 

Hello! My name is Megan. I studied animal care in college and have always wanted to work with animals. I worked at Weatherspoon's for 4 years and loved chatting to all the different customers we had, hence why this job is perfect for me. In my spare time I love to go to the gym to clear my mind. At home I look after our 12-year-old Chihuahua called Chico. I look forward to chatting with you all!

Hi, I'm Mia! With over 5 years of experience in the animal industry, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide variety of animals, from playful dogs to fascinating reptiles. My passion for animal care led me to pursue a degree in Animal Biology.
I’m dedicated to making sure both pets and their humans receive the best possible care and advice by our lovely clinical team. Outside of work, I’m a proud cat owner, and I understand first-hand how important it is to build a bond with your furry friend.
