Hi, I'm Jo, Joint Venture Partner at Catterick Vets for Pets.

I qualified from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College, University of Edinburgh in 1999. I spent my early years as a vet in mixed practice in Stokesley, a small market town in North Yorkshire where I gained masses of experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery, from calving cows to operating on chinchillas! I moved into full time small animal work fifteen years ago, and this allowed me to pursue my interests in ultrasonography and small animal cardiology. At home my family pets are two fantastic cats, 4 amazing large breed dogs, 2 chickens and a pet sheep.

Outside work I like to cook Italian food. I love gardening and try to grow veg that I can use in my favourite recipes. I also enjoy going to the cinema, reading the odd novel, and I have occasionally been seen on my bike!

I decided to open Vets for Pets Catterick because I felt that my experience had given me the confidence to strike out on my own, and because I felt that I could provide the people of Catterick with the kind of practice they really need and deserve. It is hugely important to me that we have a "whole family" approach to caring for our pets. I love to engage with children and help them to care for their pets in a responsible way. I have a son myself and my family are my world. As a client you can rest assured that my team and I will treat your pet exactly as we would treat our own! My team at Catterick are all so motivated to provide exceptional quality veterinary care, and I am so proud to work with all of them.

Hi, I'm Ele. I graduated in 2007 from Liverpool Vet School and spent fifteen years working as a traditional Dales Vet, driving around the beautiful countryside, serving the local community and all their creatures great and small! Having operated in many a cold cow shed at night in all weathers, I can now cope with most challenges!

I've been at Vets4Pets Catterick as a locum since it opened, so when I had a family and hung up my wellies to concentrate on small animal practice, knowing the exceptional care the amazing team here deliver for patients, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

I still love the variety of being a Vet, so enjoy the more unusual patients- small furries, guinea pigs, rabbits and rehabilitating wildlife. I particularly enjoy caring for your 'golden oldie' pets, winning over nervous patients and have an interest in surgery and complex wound healing.

At home we run a working hill farm and have a menagerie of children, sheep, horses and a cat called Buster. In my (rare) spare time, I enjoy exploring Swaledale on horseback, local history, metal detecting and helping run Wensleydale Show.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
