I have worked as part of the Veterinary Nursing team since 2016.

During my career I have been fortunate to be able to care for a wide range of animal species, ranging from kittens to tigers!

I have a particular interest in the nursing of emergency and trauma patients and wildlife casualties.

I have always loved animals and over the years I have helped out on farms with lambing, worked in local veterinary surgeries and volunteered at a wildlife hospital.

After I graduated from university with a degree in Bioveterinary Science I came to Vets4Pets and have been here ever since. I started my veterinary nurse training in 2013 and qualified in 2016.

I have had many different pets over the years but most recently I rescued a lovely cat, called Albert, who was brought into the surgery as a stray and is now thoroughly spoilt at home.

I always knew I wanted a career with animals, from a young age helping out in my godfathers farm in Cumbria and being surrounded by lots of pets. I started nursing in 2004 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2009. I started working here in 2012 when the practice first opened and have enjoyed every moment.

I have a soft spot for black cats and have 2 of my own Rafa and pumpkin.

I have always loved animals and from a young age decided I wanted to become a Veterinary Nurse. I started my degree in Veterinary Nursing at university in 2013. I carried out my year’s placement at Fitzpatrick Referrals, where I found my love for neurological and critical care cases. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2016.

I joined Vets4Pets soon after finishing university and I’m enjoying working with such a friendly dedicated team.

I have recently spent time travelling around Southeast Asia, where I fulfilled my dream and spent a week working at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. On my travels I also worked in various dog sanctuaries where I nursed the rescue dogs. At home I have a crazy Spaniel named Maisie, who loves chasing squirrels.

I have always wanted to work with animals from such a young age, whether that was rescuing, veterinary work or just caring for friends and families pets. I have owned a large variety of animals whilst growing up, such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, horses, fish and even an axolotl.

I started my animal journey in 2015 by attending Sparsholt College and studying animal management for 2 years, college was amazing and I learnt so much whilst being there and enjoyed every minute of it I have been working here since February 2018 and I have gained so much confidence in my work and am very happy with how far I have come since starting my journey.

I am currently a veterinary care assistant here but going on to do my nurse training to become a qualified RVN.
