From a very young age I pursued my childhood ambition of becoming a vet. I grew up on a smallholding in Kent and later attended the Royal Veterinary College in London where I graduated in 2008. Following graduation I moved back to my ancestral roots in Devon where I worked in mixed practice for two years before focusing on small animals in a veterinary hospital for four years. I am interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. I am passionate for a high standard of care and am proud to have been nominated twice for ‘Vet of the Year’ in the ‘PetPlan National Veterinary Awards’. I got married to Natasha in September 2012 and am very proud to have her working with us in our nursing team. In my spare time I run a small farm and enjoy showing my pedigree cattle. At weekends I like walking my dogs, cycling and golf. At home I have a flat-coated retriever, a working collie, two cats, two rabbits and three guinea pigs.

I’m Natalie, I graduated from The Royal Veterinary Collage in 2010. Since then I have work in a variety of small animal practices. I like both the medicine and surgery side of vetting and particularly enjoy using our ultrasound machine! At home we have 1 cat called Ben.  He is a very lively and loving cat but he was badly injured in 2015 and now has no tail and a wonky walk.  He is enjoying Devon life also but does need some special care.  As I was growing up we had a variety of pets including a cat, mice, goldfish and a budgie.  None of which we chose! We either inherited them or they turned up on our doorstep. When I am not at work I am normally found near or in the sea or at primary school birthday parties.

I have always loved animals and at 17 was lucky enough to get a work experience placement at Rosemullion vets in Falmouth and 2 years later offered a veterinary nurse training placement. in 2001 I made the hard decision to leave Cornwall and move to Devon and further my career in mixed practice where I met my husband Chris. We got married in September 2012 and I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2013. I love all aspects of my job but my keen interest is feline care and welfare. I also love getting to know pets and their owners. We have nine very spoilt pets and one of which is our practice mascot Bailey, our loveable flat coated retriever. He loves coming to work with his mum and dad and especially loves all the attention from clients.

I joined the Vets for Pets team in August 2021 spending many years working in referral hospitals and holding the position of head nurse in another local practice. After this time, I decided that I missed the hustle and bustle of a busy first opinion practice and made the decision to return to what I loved. My main interest is surgical nursing, although I never turn down the opportunity to cuddle a puppy or kitten! When not busy here at work, I can be found looking after my ever growing menagerie of rescue pets, from reptiles, hamsters and ponies.

I've always loved animals and have wanted to work with them since I was very young. I'm currently studying a level 3 Animal Management course to go into a Veterinary Nursing course at university. I was lucky enough to do my work experience at the practice which then led onto my job here now. I love every aspect of Veterinary Medicine. It's my dream to travel and work with all animals all around the world.

My name is Nicola and this is my 20th year of veterinary Nursing!

I always remember as a child being surrounded by animals, we had litters of puppies and kittens in our home as well as a tortoise, Guinea pigs  finches, budgies and parrots.

My brothers and I were lucky enough to grow up in a rural village and would enjoy making casts from footprints of wildlife, usually foxes and badgers.

After school I completed a diploma in Science, part of which led me to complete work experience at a Veterinary Surgery, before then taking on a full time trainee Veterinary Nurse position. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse from Bicton College in 2000 and have thoroughly enjoyed the challenging although equally rewarding career ever since.

At home I have 3 daughters and my own household of animals: five Norwegian Forest Cats that show and breed, a Maine Coon, a dog, 2 chinchillas, fish and Chickens.

I proud to have completed a Certificate in Feline Nursing with a distinction and also have an interest in anaesthesia.

I began working at Vets for Pets in September 2025 with no prior verterinary care experience but an adoration for animals. I have a little black cat of my own called luna who is very vocal and can even say "hello!". My previous roles have mostly been in healthcare which left me with some transferrable skills to implement into my current role. My favourite part of the role is meeting new clients and fussing their furry friends. In my spare time I enjoy photography, practicing darts and playing animal crossing.
