Referral Service

We offer Vet referrals for Orthopaedics, Soft tissue surgery, Exotics and Ophthalmology. To refer, please complete the referral form.

We run advanced nurse-led appointments for all your pet’s needs. Including behavioural, dental, weight, pain management, arthritis, diabetes and new puppy/kitten appointments.

Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to benefit your pet. Senior Veterinary Surgeon Andrea holds a PGCertSAOphthal Certificate which is an advanced qualification in small animal ophthalmology allowing her to manage complex ocular cases in house. Our Veterinary Surgeon Imanol holds a GPCertSAM Certificate which is a prestigious, internationally recognised qualification in diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions of dogs and cats.

Rachel qualified from the University of Edinburgh in 1999 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and has worked in small animal practice in the south-east of London ever since, apart from a year in 2006 spent teaching Veterinary Medicine at a University in central China. Rachel loves being a vet and enjoys being able to make a difference to the well being of animals and the families they belong to.

 Rachel enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and has a wealth of experience gained over the years which, combined with her teaching experience, allows her to support the rest of the team well. Rachel has special interests in ultrasonography, cardiology and exotic animal medicine, and she is very happy to be working with such a capable and caring team here. Outside work, Rachel enjoys spending her free time with her husband, two young children and kitten Lea, swimming and walking.

IMANOL

Imanol Inda Jurado

Imanol is originally from the south of Spain and graduated in July 2020 from the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia (the sunny land where paella comes from!).
He previously worked as a mobile veterinary surgeon across several small animal practices and a veterinary hospital in Berkshire before joining us in September 2021.
Imanol enjoys both medicine and surgery, with a particular passion for internal medicine. He has recently completed a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine, so further expanding his knowledge and clinical skills in this area.
Outside of work, he loves spending time outdoors (especially when he’s back in Spain with his dog, Sua). He also enjoys travelling, playing padel, and is currently training to run a marathon!

Andrea qualified as a veterinarian in 2019 in Spain and has been practicing in the UK ever since. Andrea first moved to the north of England and enjoyed living by the coast in Bournemouth, before finally settling in London - a city she fell in love with after spending a year in it.
Andrea has a strong passion for ultrasound and ophthalmology, and she is currently pursuing an ophthalmology certificate to deepen her expertise in ocular diseases and enhance the care she can provides to her patients.
Outside of work, Andrea enjoys cycling, playing padel, hiking to mountain peaks, and traveling. She also love spending quality time with family and friends.

Liz is a 2019 graduate from Murdoch University in Western Australia. Her first years in practice were spent in a small town 2hrs outside of Perth where she saw and treated large range of animals including native wildlife such as Kangaroos. She moved to the UK in 2022 to try something a little different having never travelled to this side of the world. Since then, she has worked at the Blue Cross and spent time locuming across London until she joined us in August of 2025. 
Liz loves many things about being a vet and has a passion for the older animals with a focus on providing a good quality of life as our pets age. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends, travelling and long weekend walks.

Melody qualified in 2017 after completing an apprenticeship to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. As well as being a valued member of our nursing team, Melody also recently became our clinical administrator. 

Melody enjoys all aspects of nursing and owns an array of pets including guinea pigs, hamsters, a cat, and even has a budgie!

Hannah qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2020 at Harper Adams university in Shropshire, then went onto work at a mixed practice for 2 years before joining us in December 2022. Being new to London, in her free time Hannah enjoys exploring London's sights.

At home, Hannah has a lurcher, 2 cats, 2 rabbits and 3 chickens! Her favourite part of the job is conducting nurse consults and inpatient care.

Having previously studied Veterinary Nursing at university, she soon decided to study an apprenticeship with us and is now one of our Student Veterinary Nurses.

Rozy's favourite part of the job is seeing sick animals get better, and of course giving them cuddles! At home, Rozy has a pet cat called Bueno, and in her spare time enjoys picnicking and bike rides around London.

Sophie previously worked in a veterinary hospital for two years and, after taking a little break from practice, quickly realised she missed the veterinary world far too much to stay away! She joined Vets for Pets Old Kent Road in September 2020 and hasn’t looked back since.
After gaining a degree in Criminology in 2017, Sophie decided to follow her passion for animal care and has recently started her student veterinary nursing qualification.
When she’s not at work, Sophie is kept busy by her Doberman, Dora, and her hamster, Gabby - although she’d definitely have a house full of pets if she could! She loves meeting all of the clients and their pets, and really enjoys covering wards. Sophie has also recently started doing consults, which she’s been loving as it gives her even more time getting to know pets and their owners.

Established in 2014 and lead by JVP Veterinary Surgeon Rachel Maier, we are a dedicated and compassionate team committed to providing exceptional veterinary care, treating all patients as if they were our own.

We are committed to continual improvement in the pursuit of excellence.

We strive to work well as a team in everything we do to provide the best possible care for both our patients and clients.

Our modern, purpose built surgery just a short journey from London Bridge is well equipped, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound and supported by a wonderful team of vets, nurses, animal care assistants and client care advisors.
