Advanced services
At Vets for Pets, we have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Laser therapy
Laser therapy is non-painful and involves directing infra-red radiation into inflamed or damaged tissues to accelerate the body’s natural healing process. It is often used for musculoskeletal issues such as arthritis, but the benefits of laser have been suggested for a range of conditions.

Meet the team

I am a veterinary surgeon and one of the partners here at Vets4Pets Kirkby in Ashfield. I will be the main vet here and look forward to meeting all of our pets. I qualified as a Veterinary surgeon in 2011 from Nottingham University. Previous to starting at Kirkby I worked at a local Vets4Pets surgery and a small animal practice in Chesterfield. I enjoy all aspects of first opinion small animal practice but I have a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and internal medicine. I am kept very busy at home with my little boy Grayson, two dogs, Indie the Border Collie and Ivy my three legged Cocker Spaniel. I also have 3 cats, 2 horses, ducks, chickens and 2 rabbits. With my husband Matt I run Lime Grove Cattery in my back garden.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017. After a brief stint in mixed practice, I joined Vets4Pets, first at Eastwood, then Somercotes and now Kirkby. I enjoy the variety that small animal practice brings, both consulting and operating, to keep your pets healthy. Outside of work I have a bit of a zoo of my own to look after; four cats, two dogs, two degus and two geckos, and one small toddler! I have had such an exciting veterinary career so far and I cannot wait to meet all your lovely pets.

I studied Veterinary Nursing at Bottle Green Training in Melbourne, Derbyshire and qualified in 2007. I have worked for Vets4Pets since May 2010 and opened Kirkby with Julie in February 2017. I have a keen interest in all things feline, I am currently working towards my certificate in feline nursing. I live with my 2 boys, Leo & Charlie, my husband Gary, Daphne the French Bulldog, Fizz the Sprocker, River the Brittany and 2 guinea pigs. I also have 2 horses - Nahdia & Dally, 12 sheep and 2 pigs! Outside of work I enjoy horse riding & spending time with my friends & family.

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4pets. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in April 2021 after studying for 3 years at Bottle Green Training. I have had various different animals since a young age and at the moment I have 2 dogs - Alfie & Lilly and a little boy called Bobby

I studied Veterinary Nursing and Bioveterinary Science at the University of Bristol, qualifying in 2014 and have worked for Vets4Pets Mansfield for over 7 years before joining the Kirkby team in November 2021. I love feline nursing and have a particular soft spot for senior patients! I live with my husband Joel, son George and cat Rufus.

I am a registered Veterinary Nurse here at Kirkby in Ashfield Vets4Pets. I live at home with my parents, brothers and my chocolate labrador Revel, who is a very typical Labrador. I'm so grateful to be part of this amazing team and I look forward to meeting all the clients and their animals!

I started working at Vets4Pets in October 2020. I am currently in my 2nd year of FdSc Veterinary Nursing at Nottingham Trent University. I live at home with my two labradors (Marley and Eddie). I have joined the team at Kirkby after working for Vets4Pets as a Receptionist since 2013, initially at Mansfield and more recently at Sutton in Ashfield. I live with my husband Luke and our daughter Isla and son Noah. We share our home with Kira the German Shepherd, Boo & Nelson the cats who keep us super busy. I am so proud to be part of such a fabulous and dedicated team here at Kirkby and I am really enjoying getting to know all of our new clients and seeing lots of familiar faces!

I have recently joined the team at Kirkby In Ashfield from previously working at Pets at Home for the last 7 years. I have always had a keen interest in animal care, I studied this for 2 years after leaving school in 2007. At home I live with my partner Nathan, Our sons Willis & Fynn and Stanley the Lhasa Apso but I’ve kept many other animals. In my free time I like to take Stanley on his long walks, exercising and going out with friends or family. It is a pleasure to work with such an amazing, committed team at Kirkby, I am also enjoying meeting all our clients and their pets.

I have been working for a Vets4Pets practice in Sheffield since April 2018, before joining the Kirkby team in November 2021. I have always had a passion for animals and animal care from a young age and studied animal management for 2 years at college. My favourite part about working as a client care advisor is meeting lots of clients and their furry friends! At home I have a 1 year old Golden Retriever called Cooper
