I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012. Joe and I decided to open our first Vets4Pets practice in Abingdon in 2016, having worked in multiple referral and first opinion veterinary hospitals across the UK prior to taking this big step. We later opened in Oxford and Newbury and are very proud of the teams we have working at each practice. I split my time between each of the three practices and have recently passed post graduate examinations with the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

My clinical areas of interest are intensive care, acute medicine and soft tissue surgery, although I enjoy all aspects of veterinary practice. I am also developing a special interest in working dogs, and in 2020 volunteered as a trail veterinarian on the Iditarod Dog Sled race across Alaska! I believe in treating all of my patients as if they were my own animals and am extremely proud of the way the whole team here put our patients and clients first.

My wife Lucy is also a vet and one of the partners at Vets4Pets Oxford, and we live with two naughty dogs called Watson and Doug, and a rather superior three legged cat called Archie!

I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College and have a special interest in small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. Further to qualifying I have passed the British Small Animal Veterinary Association Surgical exams and was awarded a post graduate certificate in small animal surgery. This is an intensive three year course where Veterinary Surgeons are taught by Specialists to perform more advanced and technically demanding operations. We offer referral work for soft tissue and orthopaedics including TPLO/TTA/CCWO for cruciate surgery, fracture repair, key hole surgery and airway surgery (BOAS). In 2017 I was recognised by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for our work in surgery and awarded Advanced Practitioner Status in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. I am presently studying for a second award in Advanced Small Animal Orthopaedics so as to offer our clients even more when it comes to their pet’s care.

Away from the operating table I really enjoy playing rugby. Dan and myself met on the rugby field fourteen years ago and I’m very excited to be owning a practice where I first began my veterinary career.

I also own a rescue cat called Cobweb who came to us from the RSCPA with a broken pelvis (now cured!) and a black Labrador Lyra who is always a welcoming face on reception at work.

I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2010 with Honours and immediately started working at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals after gaining a Junior Clinical Training scholarship. From here I moved to rural Warwickshire to work in a traditional mixed practice. These early experiences gave me a good grounding in both first opinion and referral work across a wide variety of species. I have worked at Vets4Pets Newbury (formerly Companion Care) since it first opened in 2014. My areas of clinical interest are internal medicine and emergency care and I really enjoy furthering my knowledge whenever possible.

Outside of work I am kept very busy by my four dogs “Briar”, “Sweep”, “Ebby” and our latest addition, a rescue called “Holly”. After growing up on a farm I like nothing more than spending time out in the countryside with the dogs, especially if a long walk and visit to a pub garden is involved.

I studied at the University of Nottingham where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine and Science with Honours, before ultimately graduating with a First Class degree in Veterinary Medicine & Surgery in 2017. I have a keen interest in surgery and I am currently studying for a post graduate certificate in Small Animal Surgery with the British Small Animal Veterinary Association. Away from veterinary life I enjoy running and have loved the challenge of completing a few half marathons and Tough Mudder events. When I get the chance you will find me helping out at neuter clinics abroad for stray dogs and cats, which I love. It was from a shelter in Cyprus that I ended up bringing back my bonkers and very naughty beagle pointer cross, Lucky, who keeps me entertained and active on a daily basis!

I studied at the Royal Veterinary College and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine. I have a particular interest in medical cases and diagnostic imaging but I also love doing routine consults and getting to meet people's lovely pets. Outside of work my favourite things to do are to spend time with my family and when I get the chance I like to do some dance classes and indoor rock climbing.

I started working at Vets4Pets Newbury in 2015 as part of my training for my degree in veterinary nursing. I was lucky enough to be offered a job at the practice after graduating and became head veterinary nurse in 2020. Prior to this I undertook a BSc (Hons) degree in animal management and have always known I wanted to work with animals.

I love being a veterinary nurse and I have a particular interest in anaesthesia as well as caring for our inpatients. I am also a clinical coach and train our student nurses, which is a very rewarding part of my job.

At home I have 2 crazy boxers; Khan and Dempsey, a British shorthair cat; Artemis, who thinks she’s a dog and lots of fish.

I have been working at Vets4pets Newbury since the end of 2016. I worked on reception for about a year and a half, and then started my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Veterinary Nursing.

I have a Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, and with this I have experience in handling and managing a range of animal species including reptiles, amphibians, small animals, equine and farm animals!

I love every aspect of Veterinary Nursing. I love how it makes me feel important and how it makes me feel part of a team.

I enjoy consultation, anaesthesia, surgery, etc. but I think my favourite thing about veterinary nursing is in-patient care. Seeing a seriously ill animal returning home to its family, makes it so rewarding knowing that you have helped in achieving that! I also love laboratory work, as I’m a bit of a geek and love science!

Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse since 2021, and currently studying my VetsNow ECC certificate

I have been working at Vets4Pets Newbury since 2018 and it all started with work experience! I am now a student nurse and I can’t think of doing anything else. I have a passion for consultations, anaesthesia & lots more.

I have many companions of my own from a crazy Bengal to little Guinea pigs.

You will never get bored working here and two days will never ever be the same! That’s what makes it so enjoyable. Never expect to go home without clumps of fur on you because you are always having cuddles!

I joined Vets4Pets in January 2019 doing work experience, as I have always wanted to work with animals. I was extremely fortunate that a permanent role came up in September 2019 and I jumped at the opportunity to start my career in veterinary care. I have always loved animals and come from a household with three mental flatcoat retrievers and three cats including a rescue cat called Puddle.

I really love my job at Vets for Pets, it’s a great team and the work is exceptionally rewarding. I really feel like I get to make a difference every single day, and I get to cuddle puppies and kittens… whats not to love?

I joined Vets4pets Newbury in September 2019 as a veterinary care assistant.

I have always had an interest in animal health and their wellbeing.

I have a love for all animals big or small and yes I’m that person sitting with the dog at a party full of people.

Animals are a big part of the family and owners put their trust in us to care for them, so it’s a great feeling to be part of such an amazing team all working together to help care for them.

Knowing that every day we are making a difference to an animal's life is one of the most rewarding parts of working in veterinary care.....obviously all the puppy cuddles help too.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking long walks in the countryside and reading.

I joined vets 4 pets initially as a receptionist and then an opportunity came around to progress to a veterinary care assistant and I jumped at the chance to be more hands on.

I have two crazy dogs along with a rabbit and a dwarf hamster at home and they are spoilt rotten.

I studied at Berkshire college of agriculture and completed my level 3 extended diploma in animal management, which included working with a vast variety of animals of all different species.

I have worked with animals for many years from kennels to dog walking as well as being a fully trained dog groomer. I love going abroad and helping at rescue shelters with the less fortunate animals.

It's great to be making a difference for both the pets that come to us and their owners. I have a passion for all animals big and small.

I joined the team in July 2021 as a receptionist and hoping to complete my training to become a registered veterinary nurse in the near future.

Animals have been a big part of my life since I can remember. From owning multiple pets as a child to studying a diploma in animal management at Sparsholt college.

I thoroughly enjoy working at Vets4Pets being able to work alongside incredible colleagues who have helped me gain so much experience within the animal industry.

Away from work I enjoy going to the cinema, shopping with friends and spending quality time with family. I live with my partner, our 3 tortoises and a fish tank that is way too big for the living room!

One of my favourite parts of the job is seeing a variety of animals big and small, and being part of their journey of being happier and healthier.

The best part of the day is having cuddles with our patients – this is the best job in the world!

I joined the Vets4Pets family in June 2019. As a receptionist my role varies from front of house jobs, admin and handing out treats to pets!

The best part about my job is helping customers, cuddling animals and working with such an amazing and caring team.

Away from work I like to spend time with all the crazy animals I have at home, including Pepper the dog, Tilly the cat and 4 rescue chickens.

I started working as a veterinary receptionist at Vets4Pets Newbury in September 2018.

I'm so glad to be part of a wonderful team who are all so hard working and devoted in making sure each patient gets the best care, attention and cuddles on each visit.

I love the challenges that working in a vets provides and I really enjoy learning new things every day.

Outside of work I enjoy the outdoors and exploring new places with my partner Simon and our son Henry.

At home we have our cat Macy, a silver tabby who loves visiting the practice as she always gets lots of treats and cuddles.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets on your next visit with us.
