Mihai Urzica

Veterinary Surgeon

Hello, I’m Mihai. I graduated from Cluj-Napoca Veterinary University (Romania) in 2014. For the past 4 years I have been working in both Moldova, my home country, and Romania. My vet career started in laboratory detecting Rabies virus. It followed by countryside experience as a surgeon working with pets and farm animals. I also had an experience working at Vet Endoscopy Training Centre and in my own vet practice in Bucharest. All this made me think about new opportunities of professional development, moving in UK and becoming a part of Vets4Pets great team. My love for animals I inherited from my grandfather, who worked in agrarian industry and used to take me with him at farms when I was small. I think it is important to start from childhood to get on with animals. The reason why I like volunteering at kindergarten, teaching children to take care of pets. During my free time I enjoy socializing with friends and family. I’m a big football, video games and Marvel movies fan. At home, I have a dog, a Labrador called Bax. He is 12 years old and he is with us since his birth becoming a family member.

I have been working as a Veterinary Surgeon in Vets4Pets Squires Gate since September 2018. I am from Galicia, northwest of Spain. I studied at the University of Santiago of Compostela and after graduation I did a rotating internship in the Veterinary Hospital Rof Rodina, and the last five years I've worked in small animal practice. I have three dogs, Max a crossbreed of a giant Schanauzer; Ron a crossbreed of a Boxer obsessed with balls, and Tim is a hound rescued hound. In my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, and practice Martial Arts.

Hello! A few of you may have seen me over the past 3 years as I started working at Blackpool Squires Gate Vets4Pets back in November 2015 as a Student Veterinary Nurse. I have now qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) in July 2018. Since becoming a RVN I have become a Clinical Coach. This means that it is now my time to teach our new Student Veterinary Nurses (SVN). Ensuring that they will have all the skills required for when it is their time to become an RVN. I have a Labrador called Suki who I adore so much and is absolutely spoilt but I think that’s the way it should be with our pets. She is extremely needy and constantly wants lots of love and attention.

Hi, I'm Karen. I'm Qualified Veterinary Nurse and have worked at Vets4Pets Blackpool Squires Gate since August 2018. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse back in 2000, but have recently had time out to raise my two young children. I am currently updating my skills so I can return on to the Veterinary Nursing register. I am enjoying being back in practice, especially doing nurse consultations and meeting new people. I have two German Shorthaired Pointers called Luger and Heidi which I love to take on long walks with my family.

I joined the team in August to start my journey in becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse which is a dream I have always wanted to for fill. I start my nurse training in 2019 doing the Veterinary Nursing Diploma at Myerscough College which I am very excited about. I have always wanted to work with animals as I am a massive animal lover. I have always had pets. At the age of 4 I got my first pony and ever since then I have never been without one. I have also had many other pets such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. I currently have a horse called Lucia who is a Lusitano, a dog called Aurora who is a crossbreed that I rescued from Romania and 2 cats called Whitney and Keith. In my spare time I love going for long adventures with both Lucia (Horse) and Aurora (Dog) exploring together, having lots of fun. See you all soon xx

Hi, I am a Client Care Advisor. I joined the team at Vets4Pets in August 2017 after deciding, that as an animal lover, I would like a change of career working with pets. Over the years I have owned a number of pets including several dogs, cats and a rabbit. Unfortunately, I do not have a pet at the moment but hope to have in the near future meanwhile, I will continue to enjoy fussing and petting your little ones. When I have free time I like to read, socialise, sing, dance and travel.

Practice Manager

I joined Preston Vets4Pets Ltd during our opening month of March 2009 whilst I was still teaching full-time (Performing Arts in case you couldn't already tell)! Having being invited by Andrew to take on the role as Practice Manager, I joined the team without hesitation hungry to take on a new challenge and to be closer to the shops! My background is highly varied and I've probably had every job you could think of during my "resting actor" days; based on those experiences I witnessed some diabolical examples of customer service and I always swore to deliver nothing but exceptional customer care. Our priority here at Blackpool Squires Gate Vets4Pets is to make every visit as stress-free and as pleasant as the last and if you ever feel we fall below this standard then please contact me on my personal email at james.rogerson@vets4pets.com When I'm blessed with a day off, I can often be found stroking, feeding, cleaning and stroking my 10 cats a bit more, playing bingo with the Mother or taking myself off to the latest musical (if not starring in it). I look forward to my next chat with you at reception over a brew - and if you fancy bringing me something a little special, I've taken an extra fancy to Spicy Teriyaki Deli Chips from the Booths store in Penwortham!
