We are open for essential care only
In line with government guidelines, we are only offering medically essential appointments, so please contact the practice team before travelling. Our opening hours may also vary, so please monitor our webpage to keep up to date with the latest information.
We are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving, you may be required to call ahead and wait to be invited in by a member of our team. You will be informed if this is necessary when you call us to make your appointment.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
- If you can’t visit the practice and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us to discuss available options.
We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for your patience at this time.
Meet the team
I qualified from Edinburgh in 1993 and have worked in Small Animal Practice since graduating.
I had my own practice for 18 years but with increasing paperwork and management demands, gave it up at the end of 2018 to get back to clinical practice.
I’m a very experienced medic and surgeon able to do a wide range of general and specialist procedures, so there’s little that’s possible in general practice that I can’t or won’t do, but always with respect to the owners wishes.
I have a long history of working with breeders and as a bull breed specialist vet and did work as the senior vet in a specialist practice for a time, doing many corrective surgeries often needed by these dogs, and numerous caesarean sections with excellent outcomes.
I also love rabbit and ‘small furry’ medicine & surgery and I’m enjoying seeing the large number of these patients we have here as well as all the dogs & cats.
I intend to stay at Vets4Pets for the rest of my career and hope to see the practice flourish with what myself and the team have to offer you and your pet.
I’m Steven, the Practice Manager and Head Veterinary Nurse here at Bolton Central. I started my career in the Veterinary industry in 2008 where I began nursing in private independent practice. I joined the Vets4Pets group roughly 5 years ago and headed over to Bolton Central to manage the day-to-day running of the surgery in February 2018. I still enjoy nursing where I can and have a keen interest in surgical and anaesthesia nursing. At home, I have a Dachshund X called Arlo along with two cats Eric & Chandler. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with family & friends, camping and also playing snooker & pool.
I have been nursing for 17 years since qualifying in 2005 and have worked in a mix of emergency referral and first opinion practices. I am an accredited dog trainer with The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and I am currently studying for my advance diploma in Canine Behaviour Management. I am also a Fear Free Certified Professional, one of a handful of nurses in the UK to obtain this qualification and I am passionate about ways to help reduce your pets fear and stress in our veterinary clinic. I have two dogs L.B (Little Boy) bull terrier cross and Bradley the Shih Tzu and spend most of my spare time either walking the dogs, training the dogs, training other peoples dogs or attending workshops about training dogs. I am a self confirmed crazy dog lady and love meeting new dogs and their owners every day.
Hi, my name is Sophie. I joined Vets4Pets as a receptionist in March 2018. Since being a child I have always had pets from fish, to most small animals, chickens and dogs. At the moment I have a Pomeranian, 1 year old who is called Coco. I am excited to be working at Vets4Pets, being able to learn new skills and experience in administration and customer service whilst having the opportunity to work with animals, which is my passion! In my spare time I enjoy going out with family and friends, festivals and going on plenty of holidays.
Vets4Pets Bolton Central is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
