Favourite animal and why: Cats. I admire the fact that (unlike the dog) they domesticate themselves for their own advantage. They are true survivors and chose their owners not the other way around. What pets do you have and what are their names: I have two cats, a big ginger and white former feral cat who appeared on my doorstep. I could not even touch him in the beginning. As we live in Thornton in Bradford, which is famous for being the birthplace of the Brontes we named him Heathcliffe. Our second cat in keeping with the Bronte theme is called Emily. She was a rescue cat who the charity were struggling to rehome due to her behavioural issues. She fits right in at my house. I also have a tortoise called Parsley. What is the best pet’s name you have ever come across: A cat called TREX. I was informed that TREX is a cooking fat and the owner must have liked rhyming slang. What is your favourite famous animal: A street cat named BOB. What is the best thing about working for Vets4Pets: I enjoy being part of a successful, expanding company.

Hi, my name is Jodie. I have worked in the veterinary industry since 2012, and I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016. I have a keen interest in surgery.

When I'm not at work I enjoy hiking, painting and drawing. And spending time with my loveable, but extremely bouncy dog Trigg.

Hi, my names Vicky. I have been working with animals for over 10 years, but most of my experience has been with zoo animals. I worked as an animal trainer both in the UK and abroad with various species, but predominantly Sea Lions and Birds. After working in zoo management for a few years I decided I'd like to utilise my skills in a slightly different setting and work with companion animals. I started at the practice in July 2020.

When I'm not at work I enjoy taking my dog Teddy for walks to new places, woodlands and hiking hills are some of our favourites.

Favourite animal and why: I am very bias but have to say my favourite animal is my little kitten Hissy! She is so loving but can be a cheeky little devil when she wants to be! What pets do you have and what are their names: I have a little kitten called Hissy, she was found under a bush when she was 3 weeks old with a badly infected eye, she had to have it removed. She was so naughty when she was bought into the practice hence the name Hissy! I also have a cat called Ella; she is the socialite of the area, always out and about with her cat friends! I have another cat called Millie, she is a lot more chilled out, but she keeps Hissy in check! My dog is called Pebbles; she is the apple of my eye and can not put a paw wrong! What is the best pet’s name you have ever come across: I had a hamster when I was little called stew pot, he was meant to be called Stuart from Stuart Little but it got changed along the way! What is your favourite famous animal: Simba from the Lion King. What is the best thing about working for Vets4Pets: We have a lovely friendly team, and enjoy learning something new every day!
