Meet the team
Having qualified as a Vet I now have had over 10 years experience in small animal practice dealing with complex cases. I have a special interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and I am currently studying for the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery and Orthopaedic to improve my skills and further my knowledge. I have a lovely cat, called Annabelle, who is part of the family.
I love caring for, and working with, animals and have in the past volunteered in Kenya where I looked after both domestic and wild animals.
I feel very lucky to have joined Vets4Pets Buckingham in April 2019. I am loving it here, the team is amazing and I am really excited to now be the owner of this fantastic practice..
Bio coming soon!
Emma started her veterinary nurse career back in 2007. Over the years, she has found a love of consulting. Emma loves meeting new patients and clients and enjoys helping guide them through the ups and downs of pet ownership. Emma has a particular soft spot for our feline friends and has three rescue cats herself that she has acquired through her years of being in practice.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys looking after her furry and feathered companions and runs a small business for small furries. Emma enjoys spending time with her young family of 3 boys, who all same to have the same passion for animals and as good husbandry as their mum.
Emma can't wait to meet the wonderful Buckingham clients and their lovely animals (some she will already have met when she worked here a few years back)!
Olivia joined the team in July 2021 as a Veterinary Care Assistant after finishing her degree in Animal Science. She loves being part of the team and enjoys meeting and caring for all of your animal family members. Olivia is especially fond of cats and Chihuahuas!
Olivia is now training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse and has a particular interest in inpatient care.
When Olivia is not at work, she spends most of her time with her 2 cats, Marvin and Bean and her Labrador, Rocky.
Kirstin started at the practice when it opened back in October 2014. Since then, she has been on quite a journey - starting as a receptionist, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017 and going on to become our Head Veterinary Nurse in 2018.
Kirstin has worked hard to achieve extra skills including Schedule 3 procedures and gaining her Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care in January 2021, and is excited to continue developing her knowledge to benefit her patients.
Kirstin has a particular interest in anaesthesia and surgical nursing and hopes to explore these areas in more depth going forward.
In her spare time, Kirstin likes to go on adventures with her boyfriend and black Labrador, Gordon.
You may have seen Ruth around now and then - she has helping us on a locum basis since November 2021, but has now become a permanent member of the team.
