I graduated in 2012 from the University of Veterinary Medicine at Kosice in Slovakia having previously studied a degree in biomedical science at Cardiff University. I have worked for Vets4Pets in a very busy 2-3 vet practice for the last 2 and a half years and am excited to get the chance to open my own in a city that I love. I take pride in getting to know all my clients and their pets and having a friendly, approachable practice. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, particularly surgery and undertake many hours of continued education in order to be able to offer the most current diagnostic and treatment options. Most importantly, I believe that preventive medicine is the cornerstone to having happy, healthy, long lived pets. I have four Siamese cats, Reuben, Ronnie, Mildred and Maude so I don’t have the most peaceful home life. They say a Siamese can cry at the same pitch as a human baby! Reuben came with me from Slovakia, Ronnie from Southampton and the girls are rescues from the Cats Protection. Some say that this qualifies me as a crazy cat lady but I think that being a vet gives me a good excuse! In my spare time I am a keen cyclist and have taken part in numerous charity rides including the London-Paris for the RNLI.

Hi, my name is Charlie and I’m Head Nurse here at Cardiff Ely. I have been in practice for 7 years and qualified coming up to 3 years. Before coming to Ely, I worked in a practice in Barry but left to go travelling and working around Asia and Australia. I have since moved back to Barry and joined the Ely team in July 2016.

I like all animals and currently have two cats at home. I have even owned a Tarantula! I am a complete nerd and love learning about new ways to keep our animals happy and healthy.

In my spare time I like to keep fit, eating out and getting stuck in to a good book or TV series.

Hello, I'm Amanda and I'm a Veterinary Nurse from Western Australia! I started my working holiday journey in Cardiff Ely Vets4Pets in November 2016 and am due to become UK registered in February.

I came to the UK to test my boundaries in the Veterinary Industry over here, so far I've learnt and seen a lot that will stick with me for a lifetime. Back home I've nursed for 6 years and am still loving every minute of it, even on the other side of the world!

I'm an avid bird lover but I adore all creatures great and small. In my spare time I enjoy live music, exercising, travelling, cooking and eating different types of food.

Hi, my name is Jackie and I join Cardiff Ely Vets4pets in October 2016 as a receptionist. I have a HND in Animal Science and Business which is perfect for working in practice.

I have worked within the Veterinary Industry for over 17 years both here and in North Yorkshire. I have in the past owned numerous animals, ranging from hamsters to horses but has now just settled to owning 3 dogs which help keep me fit.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to the theatre and socialising with my friends and family. I love travelling in my motorhome, Myfanwy.

Hi, I’m Danielle, a receptionist at Cardiff Ely Vets 4 Pets. I have been here since January 2016, but have worked in a veterinary practice previously in Reading for over 3 years.

I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and Wildlife Biology and a National Diploma in Animal Care and Management. Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine, and in the future want to train to become a veterinary nurse.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my two rabbits Gloria and Henry who are both rescues from my previous practice. I also enjoy walking round the welsh countryside.

Hi, I’m Rupert and I’m a biter. I am in charge here at Cardiff Ely Vets 4 Pets despite what the humans think.

I like to spend time in reception, you will see me in various places. I like to greet all animals that come in with a hiss but I tend to avoid my canine friends.

I love to eat! I will eat anything I can find whether it be staples or elastic bands. Luckily for me my family work in a vets. As you might of noticed I only have 3 legs, unfortunately this is due to an accident I was involved in when I was younger. Even with my three legs I am still fast and love to climb.

Vets4Pets Cardiff Ely is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound.
