Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other practices.
Orthopaedics
Our veterinary team have undertaken advanced training to allow us to perform orthopaedic surgery in our practice. If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Physiotherapy
Problems involving the musculoskeletal, nervous systems and balance can be helped by physiotherapy. It can also aid in recovery from injury or surgery and with pain management. At Vets4Pets, we can arrange for physiotherapy to be part of your pet’s multi-modal treatment plan.

Ultrasound
We are pleased to be able to offer ultrasound scanning in practice, which is a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.

Hi I’m Rachel. I’m a Veterinary Surgeon and the Joint Venture Partner here at Widnes Vets4Pets. I am a born and raised Widnesian and am looking forward to meeting you and your pets. I studied at Glasgow Veterinary School and took a detour via a busy mixed practice in Lincolnshire to come back home to Widnes. I thoroughly enjoy my job. I have an interest in both orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, along with exotic pets. I have successfully completed post graduate certificates in both of these subjects and have been awarded the title of advanced practitioner in small animal surgery from the RCVS. I have 3 crazy dogs, who can often be found at the surgery as our patient welcoming department/extra receptionists. Poppy is a Springer Spaniel, whom I have had since a puppy. Teddy is a rescue Springer and Maisie is a rescue Springer cross. I also have a rescue tortoise called Sheldon. Outside of work I can be found playing my saxophone as part of Liverpool Hope Concert Band, or having long walks with my dogs and family
Hi, I’m Alisha and I’m a vet and joined the Widnes team in July 2023. I’m originally from Birmingham but stayed in the North-West after university at Liverpool Vet School. I have an interest in ophthalmology and am currently studying towards a post-grad certificate in this area. I have two rescue cats – Jack and Magnus – Interestingly Magnus is a Janus cat meaning he has two noses and three upper canines! and a crested gecko called Toad In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, geocaching, listening to podcasts and reading crime thrillers.
Hi, my name is Laura and I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) here at Widnes Vets4Pets. I qualified as an RVN in July 2018 after studying my degree at Myerscough College and I started my journey as a qualified nurse with Vets4Pets in August 2018. I thoroughly enjoy my job, but my favourite parts include laboratory work, radiography, and giving your pets lots of cuddles! I am also enjoying working with a variety of different species in this practice. I feel very lucky to have become a part of the Vets4Pets family and am looking forward to getting to know the clients and their pets. Not many people can say that they enjoy coming to work, but I certainly do! In my spare time when I am not at work with your pets, I enjoy going for long walks, seeing my family and friends and spending time with my own cats, Pixel and Babby
Hey, My name is Alessandra and I am the Practice Manager here at Widnes Vets4Pets. Before joining the team here I worked as Deputy Manager for Pets at home. I have a Animal Management (Plus Business) Degree. I love meeting all our clients, In fact you'll probably find me on the reception floor enjoying plenty of kisses and cuddles. I have 3 Fur babies, a Beagle called Hugo, a German Shepherd called Opie and a Labradoodle called Lyla who you might see being a nuisance behind the reception from time to time. In my free time I am usually walking trying to tire out my crazy dogs, or binge watching a TV series.
Hey, my name is Faye. I've worked at the practice since 2017 and still absolutely love my job. Animals are my biggest passion in life so I consider myself very lucky to be able to work alongside my best friends (my dogs) who come to work with me every day. I am the proud guardian of a Tribe full of fur babies.
Hi, I’m Alex! I started working here in 2020, but before that I was a Royal Air Force dog handler working alongside my furry partner in crime! As you can see from my picture I don’t just love dogs. I have three cats myself, Kitty Cat, Koala Bearington and Ruby Doobs. Someday I would like to rescue a dog or two, but I’m not sure my cats would allow it! In my free time I enjoy watching true crime documentaries and reading books about history.
Hi, I'm Henry! I joined the practice in October 2023, but before that I worked as an Assistant Manager for Pets at Home. I have always been a big animal lover, so working in a vets suits me down to the ground. In my free time, I can be found walking my three dogs, Evie, Rupert, and Dora, who never seem to tire out, looking after all my other pets, all whilst listening to a good podcast.
Vets4Pets Widnes is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
