Meet the team
Hi I’m Becky one of the vets. You might have met me previously as I worked a stint here at Kendal between 2018 and 2019. I returned last year to Vets4Pets because I love the team so much.
I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2014 and started off in mixed practice in the Highlands of Scotland. I’ve gradually worked my way back down the country to my home county of Cumbria. I enjoy the variety of general practice and I particularly love anything Labrador related!
When I’m not at work I enjoy fell walking with my partner Ross and our black Labrador Lexi.
I look forward to meeting you and your pet.
I grew up in Windermere and did my training around the Lake District. I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2015 and after 2 years in New Zealand returned to Cumbria. When not at work I enjoy fell walking and looking after my young daughter, golden retriever and rescue cat. I look forward to meeting you and your pets
Hi I’m Kate the newest vet here at Vets4Pets Kendal. Me, my partner and Alfred the dog, recently relocated to Cumbria from Worcestershire.
I graduated from London in 2008 and after a year crossed the ocean to Australia where I spent 9 years living and working. I then spent 2 years in Vietnam working for a charity called Animals Asia, rescuing bears from the horrors of bear bile farming. After this I decided it was time to return home to the UK.
I enjoy the variety that general practice provides and working with you to help ensure happy and healthy lives for your pets.
When I’m not at work you will find me running or hiking in the fells and generally enjoying outdoor pursuits in this beautiful part of the country.
I look forward to meeting you all
I qualified from Bristol University in 1990. I have worked as a small animal vet since that time in various geographical locations throughout the UK. I continue to enjoy my work in practice. In my spare time I love walking in the Lakeland fells with my gang of canine companions - large and small.
Hello, I welcome you and your delightful pets to vets4pets. I have been part of the Kendal team for three years, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1999! I have entailed many years of experience as a nurse in small and mixed practices around this area.
Behind the scenes after running the nurse clinics I strive to give the best care to your pets. I enjoy theatre, in-patient care and dentistry. I am looking forward to the practice launching the senior clinics to help those reaching the golden oldie years.
Outside of veterinary nursing I enjoy the outdoors walking with my Cocker spaniel 'Elly' alongside my family in this beautiful area we are so lucky to be part of.
I’m Hannah, one of the RVNs at Vets4Pets Kendal. I have been a qualified nurse since 2017 and I am very keen on learning new things in all aspects of the job! I particularly enjoy leading about animal behaviour and how to make your dog or cat’s visit as stress free as possible!
I qualified in the North East and have relocated to Cumbria with my Husband and nearly 7 year old Staffy, Lola.
Hi I'm Shannon a Student Vet Nurse (SVN) here at Kendal. I've lived all around the country and moved here in summer 2022. I'm a final year student and am hoping to be fully qualified end of 2022 or early 2023- if all my exams go well!
I'm keen on nurse consults and behaviour having previously been a professional dog trainer and I'm also very keen on exotic animals having previously worked in a zoo. When I qualify I hope to further my knowledge of exotics and specialise in them.
I have 3 cats and 2 dogs currently , but I have previously had animals such as ferrets, chinchilla, iguana and a parrot.
I look forward to seeing you and you pets and giving them a big hug!
I relocated to Vets4Pets Kendal after returning from 12 years of living in Australia, working as a nurse there in a busy emergency veterinary hospital. Originally from Cumbria, I have finally readjusted to the change in weather! After three years in the clinical team, I recently changed roles to Practice Manager here at Kendal. When I'm not at work I like to spend my time running, walking in our beautiful area with my family, and being servant to my two elderly cats, Amber and Scout (who have not yet adjusted to the change in weather!)
Hi. My name is Karen and I have worked for Kendal Vets4Pets alongside our friendly team for over four years now. I love meeting our clients and their pets and love to have a chat too!
I have three dogs, a Romanian Shepherd dog, a West Highland Terrier and a young Lurcher who all keep myself and my partner quite busy!
Looking forward to seeing you all at Kendal Vets4Pets.
My name is Andrea and I am a part time client care advisor here at Kendal. Originally from Liverpool, I first joined the team in October 2018, but left for just under a year between March 2020 and March 2021, during the pandemic. I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to return to work with such a fantastic team. I love my job, it’s interesting, varied, sometimes challenging, but meeting so many genuinely lovely clients and their gorgeous pets is such a pleasure and I enjoy every moment (well almost).
I’ve been married to Chris for 36 years in September, we have two wonderful daughters, two lovely son in laws, two precious grandchildren and by the time you’re reading this, will probably have another, as we have a granddaughter due in May 2022. We moved to Carnforth to help with childcare for our grandson and so when I’m not here, you’ll often find me spending time with the family, which is an absolute blessing, but I’ve not much time for anything else.
Sadly, we don’t have any pets currently, as we don’t feel we have the time, energy or finances to take on such a big responsibility. However, I do love all kinds of animals both domesticated and wild. Historically I’ve owned a number of dogs, a canary, a budgie, two hamsters, a rabbit and tropical fish (not all at once). Since moving to Carnforth I have become increasingly interested in wild birds and love watching a small variety that visit our feeders regularly. We also have annual nesting swifts in our eaves, which is a real privilege as they, along with so many wild birds, are in decline.
Anyway, you and your beloved pet are sure of a warm and friendly welcome when visiting us here at Kendal Vets4Pets.
Hi, my name is Megan and I'm a part time client care advisor here at Kendal Vets4Pets.
I have a foundation degree in British Animal Management & Wildlife Rehabilitation. I love animals and have two pets, a cockapoo called Bella and a tortoise called Sherman. I also used to live on small holding where we owned a variety of animals including horses and pigs! When I'm not working I enjoy going for walks in and around Kendal with Bella and spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to meeting you all!
Since starting at Vets4Pets Kendal, I have really enjoyed meeting many wonderful clients and their pets.
I love running and walking in the countryside, and discovering the many beautiful areas around the Lake District.
Although I have never owned a dog, it is always a joy spending time with my partner's energetic bundle Bella. She is really good-natured and loves treats and cuddles.
Looking forward to welcoming you to the practice, where our friendly team are always happy to assist you.
