Meet the team
Hi I'm Becky. I graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 2014. After several years of mixed practice in the Scottish Highlands I returned to Cumbria.
In my spare time I enjoy the great outdoors with my Labrador Lexi.
I look forward to meeting you and your pet.
James qualified in 2010, and has worked in small animal practice across Yorkshire and Cumbria since, with a stint in teaching. A bit of a cat whisperer, James is a welcome addition to the Vets4Pets team
Hi I'm Lucy, I joined the practice as Head Nurse in September 2023.
Born and bred in west Cumbria, I now live on the Fylde coast but love commuting back to my home county every day, and meeting all the wonderful patients and clients here in Kendal.
I live with my son and husband, three dogs, two spoiled guinea pigs, and an assortment of fish. Bella, my working cocker spaniel, is disabled and uses a wheelchair for walks - you may see her joining me at work sometimes :)
I started in practice in 2013, where I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to train as a student veterinary nurse. Three years later after many exams and hard work, I qualified and became a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
I have spent most of my years nursing as a locum RVN, working at different practices across the North including working at out of hour’s hospitals overnight, emergency care, first opinion and mixed practices. Preforming nursing skills ranging from nail clips to blood transfusions on furry patients. I enjoy all aspect of nursing including delivering nurse clinics and client education, surgical theatre and ward nursing, the job is really varied and no two days are the same.
In my spare time you’ll find me on my partner’s family hill farm in the Dales where we live together, spending time with our livestock and I also have my own small flock my sheep. I have a rare native breed of sheep known as Teeswaters, who I like to take to shows in the summer.
I joined Vets4Pets in Kendal in January 2024 having relocated to the area from the south where I had worked for my previous practice for 12 years. I achieved my Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care in 2016. I have a keen interest in all things surgical and making sure our feline visitors. I am the Cat Advocate for the practice and am in the process of completing the ISFM Cat Friendly Accreditation for us here at V4P Kendal. My family have two German Shepherds and three cats. In my free time I love to go for walks and spending time with my little boy.
I relocated to Vets4Pets Kendal after returning from 12 years of living in Australia, working as a nurse there in a busy emergency veterinary hospital. Originally from Cumbria, I have finally readjusted to the change in weather! After three years in the clinical team, I recently changed roles to Practice Manager here at Kendal.
When I'm not at work I like to spend my time running, walking in our beautiful area with my family, and being servant to my two elderly cats, Amber and Scout (who have not yet adjusted to the change in weather!)
My name is Andrea and I am a part time Client Care Advisor here at Kendal. Originally from Liverpool, I first joined the team in October 2018, but left for just under a year between March 2020 and March 2021, during the pandemic. I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to return to work with such a fantastic team. I love my job, it’s interesting, varied, sometimes challenging, but meeting so many genuinely lovely clients and their gorgeous pets is such a pleasure and I enjoy every moment (well almost).
I’ve been married to Chris for 36 years in September, we have two wonderful daughters, two lovely son in laws, two precious grandchildren and by the time you’re reading this, will probably have another, as we have a granddaughter due in May 2022. We moved to Carnforth to help with childcare for our grandson and so when I’m not here, you’ll often find me spending time with the family, which is an absolute blessing, but I’ve not much time for anything else.
Sadly, we don’t have any pets currently, as we don’t feel we have the time, energy or finances to take on such a big responsibility. However, I do love all kinds of animals both domesticated and wild. Historically I’ve owned a number of dogs, a canary, a budgie, two hamsters, a rabbit and tropical fish (not all at once). Since moving to Carnforth I have become increasingly interested in wild birds and love watching a small variety that visit our feeders regularly. We also have annual nesting swifts in our eaves, which is a real privilege as they, along with so many wild birds, are in decline.
Anyway, you and your beloved pet are sure of a warm and friendly welcome when visiting us here at Kendal Vets4Pets.
Originally from Cambridgeshire, I moved to the area with my husband in 2022. I have grown up around the Lake District spending my summers here and felt Cumbria was my home, so we moved here from 4 hours away! We live here with our 6 cats (Raisin, Skittles, Twix, Daffy, Maple & Syrup). I have previously worked in the veterinary industry and love my job and the team here at Kendal are amazing!
Hi, I'm Caitlin. I have worked for Pets at Home and The Groom Room since 2020, and more recently I have also joined the team at Vets4Pets Kendal. I am really happy to be part of the team and to learn about the veterinary side of the business too! I live locally with my Patterdale Terrier Rollie and outside of my many roles, I have a graphic design business and love paddle boarding. I look forward to meeting you all, and of course your pets.
My name is Karen and I have worked at Vets4Pets since 2018. I enjoy meeting clients old and new, and like a good old chat! I am the proud owner of two lovely dogs, a Romanian rescue and a whippet.
In August of 2023, I qualified as a VCA and I love my new role. I look forward to meeting you all at Kendal Vets4Pets.
