Meet the team

Valeria Rosso
Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS

Miksa has just recently joined our practice after graduating this year. He is following his childhood dream of becoming a vet. He enjoys the variety of everyday vet life and the challenges it brings, especially when it involves exotic animals. In his free time he enjoys hiking, cycling and anything involving outdoor activities.

Karen has been working within the veterinary industry for the last 16 years when she started as a receptionist in a local vets in Derby. After a few years, Karen decided that she wanted to do more with her career within the profession and went back to college to study for her Veterinary Nurse qualification. Karen has worked in both, first opinion and referral practices before and after qualifying in 2016. During her time in practice, she has developed a keen interest in Anaesthesia, although she would also like to expand her knowledge on animal behaviour and nutrition. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam and son, Jack. Whether it’s watching movies together, playing games or walking their two dogs, Mavis (a 1yr old Chihuahua) & Milo (a 6yr old black Miniature Labradoodle). Also, Karen has recently taken up sewing and is enjoying making quilts, cushions, notebooks amongst other things. She also enjoys sitting down and get stuck into a good book, when she has the time.

Kerry has worked as a receptionist for Vets4Pets Burton since October 2015. She has worked in a customer facing role over 20+ years. She has always loved animals which made her decide she wanted to work in the vet industry. Her role is to meet and greet clients and to fuss all the kittens and puppies that come through the door. When she’s not at work cuddling all the animals, Kerry likes to spend time with her family and friends. She also owns a dog. No -one is sure of his breed but whatever he is, he is cute and cuddly.

I have been a veterinary receptionist for the past 10 years and joined the team at Vets4Pets in May 2016. I love my job and the challenges it brings. I love all animals, but dogs will always have the edge! I will take any opportunity I can to fuss an older dog or steal a puppy for lots of cuddles! In my spare time I spend as much time as I can with my own dog Tobi, a senior, working cocker spaniel. I also make glittered wine glasses, make origami book folds and sew. I am also passionate about a pop group called Take That! We look forward to seeing you and your pets soon :)

Charley has just started her adventure in the veterinary practice. Charley loves animals; mostly dogs and has 3 yorkies at home. In her spare time she enjoys video games, camping and has a degree in graphic design. Charley decided that she wanted a change of career and wants to work towards becoming a vet nurse.
Vets4Pets Burton is equipped with the latest in technology, which means we can offer your pets the personalised care they need. Our practice is also designed to make your pet’s time with us as comfortable as possible; just like kids don’t always like going to the dentist, we know pets don’t always like going to the vets! Our waiting areas are light and spacious (and with floors that can cope with little accidents) and we also have separate dog and cat wards so your pet can recuperate more comfortably after any treatment.
Our vets will explain all clinical terms so you fully understand what is happening to your pet and you are fully involved in their treatment plan. This also includes being completely transparent in our pricing, so you can make an informed choice on the treatment that you want your pet to receive.
Come and see for yourself!
