Chesterfield Ravenside Vets for Pets

I qualified in South Africa in 2000. After initially working in a mixed practice for a few years, I decided to focus on small animals. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working in Warwickshire and Surrey. In 2006, I moved to Companion Care in Chesterfield, which is now known as Vets for Pets Chesterfield Ravenside.

My main veterinary interests include small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and diagnostic imaging. I am passionate about providing the best care for my patients and continue to stay updated with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.

Outside of work, I enjoy an active lifestyle with hobbies such as running, cycling, and climbing. I also love spending time outdoors walking my dogs, Doris and Hobbes. I live with my wife, daughter, two dogs, and our two adorable kittens, Sid and Nancy.

I gained my qualification from Warsaw University of Life Sciences in Poland in 2020.

Ever since I was young I have always wanted to make a difference for animals thus I decided to become a veterinary surgeon. I am very passionate about medicine aspect of the profession with geriatrics, endocrinology and feline medicine being my main areas of interest. I am also very proud of being a certified ISFM Cat Friendly Veterinary Professional.

When not in practice I enjoy crafting, collecting scented candles, good crime TV shows and psychology books. I am an official cat mom of 5 fur babies - Waldek, Czesiu, Pszczółka, Onyx and Mimi.

I graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021 and joined the team at Vets for Pets Ravenside Chesterfield in 2023. My passion lies in all aspects of general practice, with a strong dedication to both medicine and surgery. I am committed to providing the highest level of care and making a positive difference for every animal that comes through our doors.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks in nature, playing the piano, and spending quality time with friends. It’s a privilege to be part of such a compassionate team, and I am excited to contribute to the well-being of our patients and their families.

I graduated from Ankara University in 2020. My journey has been driven by a desire to continuously learn new things and being deeply committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our furry friends, bringing the same excitement and dedication to my work every day.  While I find all aspects of general practice fascinating, cardiology is what I am aiming to specialise in.

When I'm not diving into medical texts, you can find me concentrating over a chessboard, exploring nature on hiking trails, or simply chilling with my friends. 

I have always worked in small animal first opinion practice. I enjoy nursing and being part of a wonderful team. My keen interests are looking after the patients who are hospitalised in our care and helping support their owners with understanding their pets needs. 

I also love rehabilitation and physiotherapy for aiding older pets or those who have undergone surgery. I enjoy seeing owners with their pets in consults and giving advice. I find this rewarding and love the variety.

I absolutely love being a vet nurse, it’s such a joy to help animals feel better and see them thrive in our care. It’s the best feeling in the world!

I’ve got a real passion for anaesthesia and am currently working on my NCERT certification in the field. I’m always eager to learn new things and use that knowledge to make anaesthetics as safe and stress-free as possible for every patient.

I also have a soft spot for nervous dogs. Helping them build confidence and come out of their shells during socialisation consults is one of my favourite parts of the job, it’s so heart warming to see their transformation!

When I’m not at work, you’ll find me exploring the Peaks with my feisty little Schnauzer mix, Mia, or curled up at home with my cuddly cat, Milton. Oh, and I’ve got a lifelong love for Border Collies, they were my childhood dogs, and they’ll always have a special place in my heart. 😊

I joined the team in October 2019 as a Student Veterinary Nurse and have since qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.  Prior to this,  I studied Animal Management/Care at College and Zoo Biology at University.  Whilst at University, I spent 6 months in Vietnam studying Gibbons and Loris. 

I have 2 rescue dogs, a Maltese and a Shih Tzu called Hugo and Sue.  I also have 2 rescue cats called Fluff and Tuft and a bearded dragon. 

In my spare time I enjoy walking the dogs, scuba diving, reading and gardening.

I joined the team in 2017 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse May 2021. I left for a brief while in February 2022 to gain experience in Emergency and Critical Care but returned August 2022 as I just couldn’t stay away from such a brilliant practice and supportive team!

I have a keen interest in Feline Friendly Nursing and Medicine, Dental procedures and ECC.

I have a rescue dog named Ripley, and 3 cats, Pepper, Lola and Pixel. In my spare time I enjoy crafting, video games and exploring the Peak District.

I've always wanted to make a positive difference to pets. They are our family and to help them when they need it the most has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.

I pursued my degree in Zoology, gaining more knowledge through fieldwork in Mallorca, studying mammals.

Advising people on how to keep the animals they love happy and healthy is what makes me happy, and being part of the Vets for Pets team at Chesterfield does exactly that.

In my free time, I go on adventures with my miniature dachshund, Frankie.

After 5 amazing years at Vets for Pets as a Client Care Advisor I am now proudly a Veterinary Care Assistant which gives me the privilege of caring for countless beloved pets. Making sure their stay with us is nothing short of pawsitive is what I strive for every day!

When I'm not at work, you can find me indulging in my passion for wildlife through volunteer work, getting lost in a good book, jamming out to some tunes, or simply cherishing moments with my wonderful family and our furry friends.

After spending 3 years working in Emergency Critical Care as an Animal Care Assistant, I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to begin my nursing career with Vets4Pets Chesterfield Ravenside in April 2023. My favourite part of nursing is caring for hospitalised patients and getting to meet our lovely clients and their pets. I have 3 dogs, Swishy, Ozzy and Winnie, and our favourite hobby is walkies in the Peak District.

I was a loyal client of Companion Care, now Vets for Pets Ravenside Chesterfield, for many years, and I was thrilled to join the team. Having experienced first hand the exceptional care and dedication of this practice, I feel privileged to contribute to its continued success.

Working here is truly rewarding, every day is unique, filled with new challenges and opportunities to make a difference. I am passionate about ensuring our clients and their beloved pets receive the best care possible, and I take pride in supporting our incredible team to provide just that.

Before joining the team at Vets for Pets Ravenside Chesterfield (formerly Companion Care), I was already a dedicated client and admirer of the practice. Now, as Senior Client Care Advisor, I’m thrilled to be part of such a compassionate and skilled team, helping pets and their owners every day.

I have a very cuddly cat called Chester. In my free time, I enjoy walking in the great outdoors and socialising with friends. Being part of this team is a dream come true, and I love contributing to the warm, welcoming environment that makes our practice so special.

I’m thrilled to be part of the Chesterfield Ravenside Vets for Pets team. After working in the reception area at Stockport Companion Care, my move south brought an exciting new chapter here in Chesterfield. I’m passionate about ensuring our clients and their pets feel welcome and cared for from the moment they step through the door.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my parrot, Billy, who keeps me entertained with his cheeky antics. When I’m not doting on Billy, you’ll often find me exploring new destinations, enjoying delicious meals out, or relaxing with a good TV series.

I became a proud member of the Vets for Pets Ravenside Chesterfield team in January 2013. At home, I’m surrounded by my wonderful pets, including my two dogs, Hollie and Pippa, three rabbits, Mars, Bun and Cj, and a beautiful collection of Koi fish in the garden.

In my spare time, I enjoy going on long walks with my dogs, spending quality time with my family, reading, and socialising with friends. Being part of this amazing team is incredibly fulfilling, and I’m passionate about providing the best possible experience for our clients and their beloved pets

I have loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be part of such a wonderful team at Vets for Pets Ravenside Chesterfield.

At home, I’m kept busy by my furry family, which includes my Labrador, Max, my German Shepherd, Pumpkin, and two adorable bunnies, Binky and Luna.

Being part of this team allows me to combine my passion for animals with a commitment to providing the best care for pets and their owners. It’s a privilege to work in such a supportive and dedicated environment.

I have four cats; Simba, Lola, Polly Pocket and Mini.

In my spare time I enjoy walking and going to the gym but most of all spending time with family and friends.
