Meet the team

Kaidian joined the Straiton team in August 2021 after relocating from London with her family. She is a keen baker and often would turn up at the practice with cakes in hand much to the delight of fellow colleagues. When not at the practice, Kaidian enjoys spending time at home with her family and Cocoa their adorable Lhasa Apso.

Hi, I’m Cameron!
I studied Veterinary Nursing with the College of Animal Welfare in 2017 after obtaining a BSc in Applied Animal Science and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2019.
Prior to this, I have worked with the Royal Dick School of Veterinary Medicine’s Hospital for Small Animals as well as a Youth Worker for a few years.
I spent the first two years of being qualified working in a small but busy independent veterinary practice in West Lothian where I was lucky enough to develop my skills as a RVN and gain a lot of Dentistry experience. I joined the Straiton team in June 2021, and have been helping out some of the other branches as well!
I have a keen interest in Veterinary Dentistry as well as Schedule 3 Surgical Procedures – and have been lucky enough to gain some further training in this area!
In my spare time I enjoy cooking, baking and spending time with my family.

“Hello, my names Kerryn!
I started my career in animal welfare in 2016 after studying and working in the advertising industry for 5 years. In the beginning of 2017 I packed my bags to follow my dream of improving all animal species’ wellbeing. I began working in animal shelters and rescue centres, as well as I worked in wildlife rehabilitation centres in and around South Africa. I had the privilege to work with many different species of animals, from chickens and pigs, to dogs, rabbits and cats, to rhinos, wild birds and tigers to many more. I then moved to Scotland where I obtained a Batchelor of Science (BSc) in Veterinary Nursing, while working at the PDSA both in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Proceeding my completion of my BSc and registering as a veterinary nurse in the beginning of 2021, I started my journey with the Vets4Pets Straiton family, while volunteering some of my free time to work with Street Vets in Glasgow.
You may see my dog Rocky coming to work with me on the weekends where he loves to help cheer up the scared patients and their owners.

My name is Amanda Bennison and I am the Head Nurse at Straiton Vets4pets. I qualified in April 2019 and spent the duration of my training in a first opinion practice in Manchester, before moving up to Edinburgh last year.
I enjoy all aspects of practice, particularly the owner education aspect of consulting in areas such as dentistry and rabbit husbandry. I also enjoy emergency critical care and gained lots of experience in this area locuming for Vets Now. I have also recently completed my training in clinical coaching, and am thoroughly enjoying my role as Head Nurse.

I joined Vets4Pets in March 2018, a completely new direction for me (away from corporate life) after I decided that I wanted to spend my working hours doing something interesting, fun and rewarding. I’m an animal lover and my 8 year old cat Fergus is spoiled rotten. I love meeting our clients and their pets and doing what i can to help them.
Out of work, I enjoy boot camp (once it’s over!), socialising with family & friends, helping out my (adult) kids and travelling.
I joined the practice at Straiton from Fort Kinnaird in February 2020 and settles in very quickly, despite (or maybe because of?!) the pandemic.
Its great to be part of the Straiton team.

I have been very lucky to have been part of the Pets at Home Group for the past 23 years in various Management roles and only recently moving across in to Vets4pets in the last year.
I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know this side of the business and couldn't ask for a better to team to work with.
In previous years i have many animals but currently only have 3 dogs, 2 whippets and a dachshund.
Vets4Pets Straiton (Pentland) is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
