Advanced services
We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. We also accept referrals from other veterinary practices.
Orthopaedics
If your pet develops an abnormality involving their skeleton or joints, such as elbow dysplasia, a patella (kneecap) that gets stuck, or a torn cruciate ligament, an orthopaedic procedure may help them.
Dental X-Rays
Unlike humans, dogs and cats need to be under general anaesthesia for dental X-rays. Anaesthesia is considered to be a safe procedure and will be performed after a general examination. It is tailored to the individual and your pet is continuously monitored during the dental exam.
Ultrasound / Radiology
We have a state of the art ultrasound machine, providing a painless way to look inside your pet’s body to find out what’s going on.
Meet the team
Having originally trained in New Zealand, I graduated from Massey University in 1995 and have been practising in the UK since 1998. I worked in Essex for 7 years before having the pleasure of opening Braintree Vets4Pets in March 2014 and Maldon in August 2014. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far, during which time I have developed a passion for canine and feline medicine and therapeutics and a great enthusiasm for working with small furries (rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters…) At home I have a pet dog and rabbit. When not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, live music, theatre, cinema and travel.
Originally from America, I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2018 and have been practicing as a small animal vet in London ever since. I have recently relocated to Essex for an exciting new chapter at Vets4Pets Maldon as the senior Veterinary surgeon.
I enjoy consulting and practicing medicine, and I have a keen interest in animal behaviour. This affords me the ability to address the physical as well and mental and emotional needs of your pets!
Outside of work I enjoy playing the piano, surfing, travel, and embroidery. I’ve got two cats, Rory and Selene, and have even trained Selene to do some tricks like a dog! She cat sit, stay, play fetch, and even walk on a lead like a dog!
At Vets4Pets Maldon. I look to bring a high standard of care, coupled with compassion and empathy for you and your pets as I know how much they mean to you. I look forward to meeting you!
With over 30 years as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I’ve had the privilege of caring for patients across a variety of disciplines, each one teaching me something new. I have a particular fondness for our feline friends and a passion for all things laboratory-related—there’s something endlessly fascinating about the science behind our care.
As Head Veterinary Nurse at Maldon, I take great pride in supporting and guiding our amazing team, ensuring every pet receives the highest standard of care. I can’t wait to meet your furry companions and help make their visits to our clinic as comfortable and happy as possible.
I qualified as an RVN in 2001 and spent 10 years working in emergency and critical care before returning to small animal practice in 2015.
I joined Maldon Vets4Pets in 2022, and having grown up in Maldon, I’m proud to be a true local.
In my spare time, I enjoy life with my three children, two dogs, and a cat. I love long walks, horse riding, and socialising with friends and family.
I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018 from Writtle Agricultural College. I was lucky enough to travel to South Africa and work on a game reserve, assisting the Veterinary Surgeons who were working alongside the game reserve team for the protection of the White Rhinos from poachers.
I have a keen interest in theatre and surgical nursing and have recently become a Clinical Supervisor, which enables me to support student nurses with their training.
In my spare time I enjoy riding my pony Declan and competing at local shows.
I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2024 after graduating from Anglia Ruskin University.
I have a particular interest in nurse consultations and a strong passion for feline care, enjoying every opportunity to work closely with our cat patients.
At home, I have a British Shorthair called Dexter, who keeps me very entertained. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family.
I have been working at Maldon Vets4Pets since 2023, where I initially joined as a work experience student.
Since then, I have progressed into my nursing training and am currently working towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to learn and grow in the role.
I have a special love for our smaller canine patients, which comes naturally as I have two of my own at home.
I joined Maldon Vets4Pets as a receptionist in 2015 and was promoted to Client Care Manager in 2018. During my time here, I have completed my Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards with the British Veterinary Receptionist Association.
Before joining Maldon Vets4Pets, I worked as a receptionist at Vets Now Emergency Vets, where I thoroughly enjoyed working with both the animals and the team.
This experience inspired me to move into a smaller practice, where I can build strong relationships with colleagues, animals, and clients.
I joined the team in April 2025 after leaving college and working part-time, as I was looking to start a new career.
I enjoy building connections with clients and colleagues, and meeting new people and their pets.
I have two pet cats and a hamster of my own, and I’m looking forward to developing my career and skills here at Maldon Vets4Pets.
After working a Pets at Home, I built a strong rapport with the vets team, so when a position on reception was advertised, I jumped at the chance!
I have two cockapoos, which I love dearly, and when I'm not at the practice you can find me reading books, playing video games, and baking.
Vets4Pets Maldon is committed to bringing you affordable, high quality care via a modern, well equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Plus, on site car parking too!
The friendly team can't wait to meet all of their new clients!
