Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

I'm Michelle, your Practice Partner and Senior Vet in the practice. I graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2005, and moved to Lancashire where I spent 9 years in small animal practice. Four years after qualifying, I became the sole practitioner in a branch surgery of a busy referral hospital and had the opportunity to spend time working alongside many specialists in their field. In 2015, I became the partner at Newton Mearns Vets4Pets and now we have recently moved to Glasgow Pollokshaws Vets4Pets. I am very proud of what we have achieved and am thankful for the incredibly hard working team we have who keep the practice running with their knowledge and expertise to keep your pets healthy. Client, patient care and client continuity is very important to me and I particularly enjoy developing trusting relationships with both clients and patients. I enjoy working up medical cases, have an interest in rabbit health and although I love seeing all furry friends, have a secret love for cats! I absolutely love being a vet, and although some days can be challenging, I love being part of such a great team who are highly committed to providing the very best care for your pets. I live in the West end of Glasgow with my husband, our 18 month old son, Thomas and our 2 mischievous cats, Alfie and Louie, who are slowly accepting that we have a new addition to our family! When I'm not looking after patients, I am most often found running around after my little boy! I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping fit, travelling and cooking.

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from the University of Glasgow School in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Growing up in rural Puerto Rico in the Caribbean, surrounded by small farms owned by my grandparents, I developed a keen interest in veterinary medicine & animals from a young age. In 2010 I graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in a Bachelor of Science in Biology then moving to Glasgow the same year to pursue my veterinary degree. Upon graduating in 2015 I moved back to Puerto Rico to obtain my license to work there and the USA, once I obtained the license, I worked for a year in Puerto Rico as a mix practice and small animal veterinary surgeon. After gaining skills and all kinds of insight into veterinary medicine, I moved back to Scotland in 2016 and have been here ever since. I joined the team here at Vets4Pets Newton Mearns in June 2018. I got married this year to Laura who is also a veterinary surgeon. We have an 8 and a half years old gentle giant male Great Dane named Kalo. This boy is the one that steals our heart in a daily basis. We also have a 12 year old male domestic short hair cat named Leo that loves food and cuddles more than anything in the world. In my spare time I enjoying mountain biking and salsa dancing with my wife.

Lynsey Buchanan

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Read Lynsey Buchanan bio

Hi, I'm Lynsey one of your registered veterinary nurses. I graduated from Barony College in November 2016. I have been surrounded by animals my whole life as I grew up on a farm. I love all animals but I'm probably a cat person, although I have a soft spot for chubby Labradors. I grew up with a rather podgy black lab and we now have another. I also have a tortie cat called smudge. She was found on the side of the road when she was only a few weeks old. She's now 13 and loves cuddles but only when it suits her.

I have recently joined Vets 4 Pets in August 2018, prior to starting I have worked within a veterinary practice for the last 8 years, starting off as a receptionist then as a qualified veterinary care assistant. I qualified as a veterinary care assistant in 2015 in Edinburgh and I am now continuing my studies to become a registered veterinary nurse. I recently bought my own house and live locally. I stay with my partner Blair and my one year old son, Casey. We have a house full of animals including dogs, cats, marine fish, horses and a royal python. Never too many animals. Outside of work, I am usually spending as much time with family and friends. I also enjoy competing my horse on a regular basis.

Hiya! I'm Lauren and I'm one of the nurses. I graduated in November 2018 from SRUC and I joined the Vets4Pets team not long after. I have volunteered with Beloved Rabbits since 2013 and this inspired me to achieve my dream career as an RVN and help every animal as much as I can. (Although I will always have a soft spot for bunnies!)
I live at home with my family, 3 funny bunnies and a yellow canary who thinks he is a human.
In my spare time, I like to see my friends and family. I also like to look for weird and wonderful documentaries to watch!

I was absolutely thrilled when asked to join my work colleagues at the Newton Mearns Vets4Pets practice in October 2014. I have previously worked in a myriad of job sectors but definitely consider this to be the pinnacle of my career! Sadly, last year I lost my dog gizmo. My wee man Gizz is sorely missed and working here has shown me why people keep pets- unconditional love...and what better place to work than a vets, to help give back what our pets give to us! My husband is being gently warmed to the idea of a new doggie in the household!

Hiya I'm Becca and I have recently started working with Vets4Pets here in our newly opened Pollokshaws practice as full time receptionist which I am really enjoying. I feel very lucky to be able to combine my love for animals with my customer service experience and having done varying roles in the past this certainly, for me is the most rewarding by far! For me it really is a pleasure coming in to work each day as i know we have a fantastic team here at Pollokshaws and i look forward to welcoming you to our new practice soon.
