I have worked in various practices in Yorkshire and am very pleased to have joined the Vets4Pets team. I am interested in all areas of small animal veterinary medicine and I am particularly keen to expand my experience in exotics. I have returned to practice after having my two little boys, Lochlann and Laythan who keep life very busy at home! In addition our family includes Barney - our cavalier King Charles spaniel, Ollie the ginger cat, Ruby, Rosie and Mavis the hens and Benjamin the cockerel.

After graduating from Liverpool University in 1997 I initially worked in a mixed practice in Oxfordshire which gave me a good foundation to my career. I returned to my native Yorkshire in 2000 and since then have worked in a number of busy small animal hospitals.I enjoy all aspects of small animal practice but have a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. I have quite a collection of dogs, cats and horses and when I'm not working I enjoy spending time with my husband and young son and indulging my passion for all things equestrian.

I graduated with honours from the University of Perugia, Italy in 2006. I have developed most of my knowledge in veterinary practices working alongside Diploma or Certificate Holders but always with an interest in Exotic animal medicine. I came to the UK in 2013 where I worked in different practices with small animals as well as exotics. During this time, I achieved a GP certificate and PgC Certificate in Exotics and I am currently an Advanced Practitioner certificate holder in zoological medicine. I have a special interest in surgery and internal medicine and I am currently working to further expand my knowledge in orthopaedic surgery. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my family which include Milliebob the cat, Arthur and Hilda the snakes and Gino and Gina the geckos.

In my spare time I like to be outside with my two dogs Roo and Hollie and exploring the countryside.

After many years of seeing practice I started my career in the year 2000. I enjoy many aspects of the profession, particularly anaesthesia and clinical coaching but especially caring for all of our patients. I’m very honoured to be a partner in a practice with such a wonderful, caring and experienced team. Out of practice, I love nothing more than spending time with my husband and our daughter, as well as our cat Ludo and dogs Rupert, Rusty & Tara.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with animals since I left school. I started as an animal care apprentice in a Vets in 2004 and I have not looked back. I have worked here at Vets4Pets Anlaby since we opened back in 2013 and I am passionate about the care of all our patients from as soon as they arrive to when they go home. I am proud to say I passed my Veterinary Nursing course and am now a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I keep busy at home with my husband, son and whippet Freddie. We love travelling and attending the odd airshow!

I have spent most of my life around all kinds of animals and have studied a degree in Equine Therapy and Rehabilitation. It is plain to see the care and compassion towards all the animals here from everyone at Vets4Pets Anlaby. When I'm not spending my days meeting to and speaking with all our lovely clients and wonderful pets, I spend my time walking my Beagle Penny as well as riding my horse Donna.

Getting to meet all our clients' lovely pets makes the job even better. I myself have two cats, Bruce and Treacle and a Tortoise called Tortellini. I have had previous reception experience and have worked with animals through college and through volunteering at The Deep.
