Practice Owner & Veterinary Surgeon

Read Sandra Braunig bio

Sandra was born and raised in North London. She graduated from The Royal Veterinary College in 1997. Sandra started her career in a mixed animal practice in Wales where she stayed a year before deciding to work solely with small animals. She worked at a practice in Surrey for eleven years then moved to a practice in Colchester for three years before realising her dream of opening Ipswich Vets4Pets in 2012. What made you want to be a Vet? After seeing "All Creatures Great & Small" on television and reading James Herriot’s books I knew that being a vet was the only job for me. He inspired a whole generation of vets. If you could be any animal for a day, what would it be and why? I would be a Robin because they make people happy and I could fly around and explore. What is your favourite thing about being a Vet? I love the variety that each day brings and the fact that after seventeen years I still love my job and can’t wait to come to work everyday. I also love puppies and kittens. What pets do you have? I have a greedy 12 year old Labrador called Sophie, and Sketty the wonky Lurcher who loves to run. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? My secret talent is Hula Hooping.

Lucy Webb

Practice Owner, Veterinary Nurse & Behaviourist

Read Lucy Webb bio

Lucy was born and raised in Kesgrave, she graduated form the Royal Veterinary College in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Veterinary Nursing. in 2016, Lucy also completed her Masters degree in Clinical Animal Behaviour. She has been with the practice since 2012. What made you want to be a veterinary Nurse and why? I have always had an interest in animals and after undertaking work experience at a veterinary surgery, I decided that this was my calling in life and I cannot imagine doing any other job. If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be and why? A ladybird, so that I could just watch the world go by and fly about here and there. What is your favourite thing about being a veterinary Nurse? I love being able to help and advise owners so that they are able to get the best out of their relationship with their pets. What pets do you have? I have a flock of 3 chickens who lay very tasty eggs and Badger the rescue dog. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. After graduating from university I spent time working as a Veterinary Nurse in Australia. One of my most unusual yet rewarding jobs was nursing a poorly sugar glider back to health!
