My name is Helga and I am the head veterinary nurse at Bramley Vets4Pets and have worked here since June 2008 and am the longest reining member of staff at the practice.

I am a registered veterinary nurse and qualified back in 2006, and have over 17 years of experience in the profession. I also have two additional qualifications which are the IFSM Feline Diploma in Feline Nursing and the ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour.

My area of interest is feline nursing and I have a huge passion for all things cat related, hence how I gained the title of the 'mad cat lady' of the practice. I enjoy consulting and running senior clinics where I can get to know my patients and help to educate my clients.

I have 14 cat furbabies and 3 rabbit furbabies and a husband called, James who take up a lot of my time and energy.

I enjoy studying and learning in my spare time as well as relaxing at home with my family. My other passion is going away in my caravan when I can and my favourite part of the country is the Lake District and I hope to retire there in the future when I hang up my nursing shoes.

My Name is Mike, I have previously worked at various vets around west Yorkshire over the past 20 years as a student, then as a registered nurse then as a head nurse. I took a break from nursing to pursue other interests including making human aortic heart valves from porcine pericardium and then working at Leeds teaching hospital during the covid pandemic.

My favourite part is working with a dedicated team of highly trained vets and nurses and lay staff as well as working to help the betterment of the patients

Outside work I have an extensive garden growing a variety of fruit and vegetables and flowers from pear, apple, lemons to passion fruit. Also enjoy travelling and been to over 50 countries on all continents except Antarctica (TOO COLD!!)

As the Practice Manager you do whatever you are needed to do on the day. Some days I can found working on the front desk, meeting and greeting the clients and their pets. Then other days I am assisting with the care of the patients and their needs, alongside the clinical team. I love the passion our team have for their patients and this is one of the many reason I enjoy working alongside them.

I previously worked at Mcdonalds, I worked there for 11 years. After covid I fancied a change so applied to work at Vets4Pets. I have only recently joined Vets4Pets so I am still getting used to things. I enjoy meeting new people so am looking forward to getting to know the staff and clients a little more. We have a little Syrian dwarf hamster called Dora who my children enjoy playing with she fits in perfect with my mad house at home. When I am not at work I enjoy taking my children swimming and rock climbing. On the off chance I get free time I usually spend this at the gym or going for food with my friends.

I love!!! that I get to interact with the clients and their pets at the practice, learn  about  animal welfare and help get those pets the best care they need.

The team has been my most positive experience to date... I could not achieved/learned what I have so far with out the knowledge of the team and welcoming arms.
