Vets for Pets Leeds Birstall Hospital Extension
New services and facilities available
We are very excited that Vets for Pets Leeds Birstall Hospital has expanded, allowing us to further increase our services and care for the pets of West Yorkshire.
Our expansion enables us to increase our existing advanced-imaging, endoscopy, orthopaedic, soft-tissue, laparoscopy, dental and referral-level work whilst doubling the consulting capacity of our clinic. Allowing our clients increased availability and flexibility of appointments (including a health clinic, emergency, veterinary referral and specialist nurse clinic appointments).
As always, the practice will have team members on site 24/7 if your pet needs emergency care or to stay with us overnight.
Advanced Nurse Clinics - Coming Soon
Expanding our availability of nurse-led appointment for all your pet’s needs. Including behavioural, dental, weight, pain management (including K-laser treatments), physiotherapy and new puppy/kitten appointments.
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical technique to explore the abdomen with two to three small ‘keyhole’ incisions. A camera is introduced as well as fine instruments allowing a range of procedures to be performed.
In human medicine ‘keyhole’ surgery or laparoscopy has been used for many years given its reduced surgical trauma and quicker recovery times compared to traditional 'open' surgery. In veterinary medicine the same advantages are seen.
24hr patient & emergency care
We're never closed and have team members on site 24/7 if your pet needs emergency care or to stay with us overnight.
Advanced imaging suite
Certificate-led veterinary referral service including digital X-ray, endoscopy, advanced ultrasound.
Radiography including dental x-rays
Digital X ray equipment is available, including dental X-ray. Unlike humans, dogs and cats need to be under general anaesthesia for dental X-rays. Anaesthesia is considered to be a safe procedure and will be performed after a general examination. It is tailored to the individual and your pet is continuously monitored during the dental exam.
Advanced orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery
Advanced surgery that treats injury and disease in the bones, joints, ligaments, muscles and tendons of the body.
Our purpose-built RCVS accredited Small Animal Hospital has been designed with the latest kennelling, technology and equipment to provide the highest level of care for our patients. From International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM) Gold Standard clinic facilities, a ‘best-in-class’ Emergency Critical Care Ward, Extended Isolation Facilities and state of the art internal laboratory.
The treatment and management of heart and some circulatory system conditions.
Pet Passport / Animal Health Certificates
Trained Official Veterinarian Vets to issue Pet Passports, Fit to Fly letters and Rabies Serology Tests.
