Lap Spay (Spay by Keyhole Surgery)
Keyhole (Lap) spaying is less invasive, removing the ovaries through a small hole compared to the open surgery of a traditional spay which leads to increased discomfort for your pet. Our team at Vets4Pets Middlesbrough are here to answer any of your questions about whether Lap Spay is the right decision for your pet.
Meet the team

My name is Katherine, I have been practicing as a Vet for 19years and for most of this time have been working in Middlesbrough. I've spent time working in Ayrshire, North Yorkshire but for the last 13years been practice partner at Middlesbrough Vets4Pets. I am proud to work as a General Practitioner Vet for the Middlesbrough community. I am proud of every one of my team members and fortunate to be part of a great team, they are talented passionate caring individuals who do their best every day. Kindness, empathy and great communication are values we all live by in our busy day to day. In work, I am typically very busy being a positive force, involved with the day to day running of the practice, responsible for marketing, processes and recruitment, but I balance this with being present in theatre and consultations where I enjoy getting to know my clients and their pets, providing the best service that I can. I have a keen interest in all aspects of surgery and dentistry having attended many further development courses in these areas. Outside of work I enjoy keeping fit by training for triathlons and share this passion by coaching novice triathletes age 8 to adults, holding the level 1 triathlon coach qualification. Being a mother to my 3 sons who are all now in double figures with lots of interests also keeps me very busy. When I get spare time I love spending time gardening, walking & listening to podcasts. My furry family include Jimmy the ginger Ragdoll cat & Tigi the Parsons Jack Russell who loves to run! My children have a hamster and tropical fish & you guessed it who looks after them! My feathered family include 3 black suffolk hens Delta, Blue & Echo. Plenty to keep me busy when I'm not at work that's for sure.

HI, I'm Imran. I have been working as a Veterinary Surgeon at Middlesbrough Vets for Pets since January 2024.
I graduated from the University of Ankara, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2012.
After 10years as working as a Veterinary surgeon in Turkey, I started working in the UK in January 2023.
I am thrilled to be in a position where I can make a positive impact on the lives of pets and their owners.
I love what I do, and I look forward to meeting your pets and providing the exceptional care they deserve.

I qualified from Myerscough College back in 2016, and have been with the practice ever since. I have a passion for emergency and critical care, as well as getting to know your golden oldies. I also have a keen interest in surgical nursing so ill often be found out the back of the practice ensuring your pets receive the best care.
I am a recent mother of a beautiful little girl and I am enjoying juggling the joys of motherhood along with meeting your pets, training new nurses to the industry and ensuring the practice runs smoothly.

I joined Vets for Pets in March 2024 as an RVN. I have been working in practice since 2014. I have an additional qualification in working with small mammals and am a certified Canine Mobility Nurse. My greatest passion is working hands on with dogs to give them a new lease of life using massage and physiotherapy methods. I have my own dog, a front leg amputee EBT X called Sully who comes to work with me every day. I look forward to helping more and more dogs with their mobility as they get older and welcome you to book onto one of my mobility clinics.

I started as a Veterinary Care Assistant in 2019 before starting a Veterinary nursing diploma in 2020, gaining my Veterinary Nurse Qualification in 2023. I am a mother of a 10 year old son, 4 rescue cats- Richard, Daryl, Tom & Oscar and a Cockapoo Joey. I am totally cat obsessed, so would love to deepen my knowledge into feline care when I qualify. The best thing about working at Middlesbrough Vets4Pets is meeting the variety of lovely pets and their owners. No two days are ever the same and being able to help care for patients daily (along with the furry cuddles) is so amazing and rewarding. When I'm not at work I am usually gaming or taking Joey out on lots of adventures with my son.

I joined Vets for Pets in March of 2024 as a student nurse and am now a registered veterinary nurse. I always knew I wanted to work in the veterinary profession since a young girl, spending days helping the vet on our farm ignited my love for the nursing role. I have never looked back since. I have a huge passion in rehabilitation and hydrotherapy and hope to pursue this part of the nursing role soon. I run nurse led puppy parties at the practice and also confidence clinics. I look forward to helping more and more less confident pets gain confidence attending the vets.

I qualified as an RVN in December 2023 after 2 years of training at East Durham College. I am very passionate about canine behaviour and hope to soon complete a behaviour qualification to use in our practice to help new owners and any nervous dogs we see daily. I also have a huge interest in medical nursing, and love nothing more than getting to work alongside the vets to bring our poorly patients back to their normal, happy self.
Outside of work you will find me having lots of adventures and making memories with my Labrador Retriever, Lilah and my Jack Russel X, Mabel

Student Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I’m Hannah. I’ve worked at Vets for Pets since July 2021 as a client care colleague. I have recently taken the plunge into studying for my veterinary nursing degree. I spend my working hours split between studying at college and gaining experience as a student vet nurse in practice.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary nursing, especially taking care of patients in recovery post-surgery.
At home I have plenty of pets to keep me busy including my retired thoroughbred Dru, beloved dog Bonnie and my two mischievous cats Sooki and Merlin.

I started working at Vets for Pets October 2015, my main responsibility is social media, finance and customer service. I have achieved my Bronze Level (Companion Animal Version) of the Accredited Veterinary Receptionist Award and am working towards my Silver Level. I really enjoy working at Vets for Pets because I work with such a fabulous team, and get to be one of the first people to meet and greet your pet into our surgery. When I’m not at work I enjoy walking my cheeky Chihuahua Teddy.

After leaving retail after 25years I combined my customer service experience with my love of animals by joining the Vets for Pets client care team.
At home I have a very energetic and cheeky PatterJack called Button.

Hello! I'm Louise. I am super excited about getting to know you and your furry, pawed friends. At home, I have 2 rescue cats Theo a russian blue & Tigger a larger than life moggy. Not forgetting my 2 rescue Guinea pigs Chocolate & Reggie who demand food all the time. They definitely keep me on my toes that's for sure. In my spare time I love to go for walk & help look after my friends horse Bear. When I'm not gallivanting about I love nothing more than snuggling on the sofa with my pets & watching a good movie. I'm a sucker for pets that are in their golden oldie years, I cant resist those lil grey faces. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all.

Hello, I’m Scarlett, I have worked for Vets for Pets as a client care coordinator since July 2024 after 4 years of working at James Cook Hospital. My previous role gave me lots of experience in customer service but I have always been passionate about animals having grown up with them and I knew that animal care was the path I wanted to pursue. I am hoping to start my veterinary nursing at some point in the future, however at the moment I enjoy meeting all of our lovely clients and precious patients, giving them the best experience possible while they are in our practice. When I’m not working you can usually find me cuddled up with a book and my dog Charlie.
