Hi, my name is Mariana and I am currently fostering a kitten called Puck.
Originally from Spain I have worked in the UK veterinary industry for almost 4 years. I love the North East countryside and am a big fan of Newcastle. I really enjoy travelling and am an enthusiastic rock climber.
I work with a lovely team of people who are always ready to help each other, working together to achieve the best we can.
Hi, my name is Effy and I work as a Veterinary Surgeon here at Newcastle Vets4Pets. Originally from Greece I qualified in 2014 and worked in a variety of small animal practices before coming to the UK in April 2018.
Since coming to the UK I have not been able to have any pets of my own but would love to do so in the future when circumstances allow.
I really enjoy working at Newcastle Vets4Pets with my lovely team and always try to give the best of myself in the care and treatment of the little “furies”.
Hi, my name is Laura and I have worked in the veterinary industry for nearly 6 years. I started as a Receptionist before qualifying as a nurse in 2015. I have worked in both primary care and referral practice including work in rehabilitation. I am a qualified Clinical Coach and am working towards my Level 3 certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy.
I have an 11 year old Springer X Labrador called Phoebe, a 1 year old Golden Retriever called Cassie and a fluffy black cat called Lexi.
I enjoy working with a committed team of lovely people and love being back working in primary care following my time in referral practice.
Hi, my name is Harriet and I have a naughty cat called Jasmine who particularly enjoys waking me up at 5 O’clock in the morning.
I began work as a veterinary receptionist in 2009 before deciding I wanted to be a veterinary nurse. I trained at Myerscough College (Preston) qualifying in 2015 before coming to work here at Newcastle Vets4Pets in May 2018. I enjoy working at Vets4Pets as I get to do my dream job with the support of a great team.
Hi, my name is Abi and growing up I always had cats, dogs and horses: today I have a German Short Haired Pointer called Alfie - my “lovely old man”!
I commenced training to be a veterinary nurse in 2016 qualifying in 2018. I came to work at Newcastle Vets4Pets earlier this year and really like meeting and chatting to the clients, finding out more about them and their pets – they are so friendly and nice. I work with a great team and enjoy dealing with anaesthesia and the wide variety of operations that we get to do.
Hi, my name is Laura and I have two dogs, Harvey and Daisy who are both Westies: I also have a horse called Paddy.
Initially working at Moorview Vets I came to Newcastle Vets4Pets in 2017 where I qualified with distinction as a Veterinary Care Assistant. I have now commenced 2 years of studying with Northumberland College to be a Veterinary Nurse.
I love working at Newcastle Vets4Pets as the clients are lovely and have the cutest animals! The team here is so supportive and friendly, nothing is ever a worry as together we can get through anything!
Hi, my name is Mel and I have worked as veterinary care assistant for over a year now having previously worked on reception.
I have my own small holding and have worked with everything from small mammals to giant horse breeds. Currently I have two horses, Treasure and Roman; two rescue cats, Snow and Jasper; two rescue cockatiels, Belle and Charlie; two rescue guinea pigs, Hamish and Teddy; and two fantail goldfish!
The best thing about working here at Newcastle Vets4Pets is the clients and staff team – they are all amazing!
Hi, my name is Richard and I joined Newcastle Vets4Pets earlier this year working for the first time in the veterinary world having previously spent 10 years in the private health care sector.
My family home has two dogs: Bobbie, a Bearded Collie Cross and Peggy, a Border Collie. We also have a cat called Percy who is the boss of the house!
I feel privileged to work with an amazing group of people who share a real passion and commitment for animal care and do such a great job every day.
Hi, my name is Holly and I have a miniature Schnauzer named Tilly (who is a real softy!) and a Tabby cat called Tiger.
I have worked on reception at Newcastle Vets4Pets since January 2017. I love working with animals and am currently training to be a dog groomer. I have already achieved my Level 2 Dog Grooming and am now studying for level 3 to be fully qualified in July 2019.
I love working with the team here at Newcastle Vets4Pets and our regular clients definitely cheer us up on the front desk when they bring their cutie pets to the practice. Getting lots of cuddles and kisses from the dogs makes a great day at work!
Hi, my name is Ashleigh and this is my first time working in animal care having previously worked as a care worker in the health and social care industry and as a Receptionist in a community project.
I currently have a Yorkshire Terrier called Archie (aka Chewbacca!) but have grown up around a variety of animals and different pets including my cousins’ selection of snakes and spiders.
Newcastle Vets4Pets is an awesome place to work and the team is lovely. As the newbie everyone has made me feel very welcome, especially the girls on the reception desk.
Hi, my name is Lorna and I own a very snorty Boston Terrier called Burt.
I have worked on Reception here at the practice since April 2017. Prior to this I was self-employed in the fitness industry for over 10 years in a variety of roles and a qualified personal and group exercise trainer.
I love the variety in my job as every day is different and there is always something new to learn. The best part of each day is meeting the animals that we care for, big and small.
