Meet the team
I graduated from Trakia University in Bulgaria in 2010. Since graduation I worked in a small animal clinic in Bulgaria for 7 years.
When I was a child I was a proud owner of a loving Russian black terrier named Arnold and an always purring Siamese cat named George and I always knew I will be a vet one day.
My professional interests lie in surgery and internal medicine. I have just started a qualification in US imaging.
The most rewarding aspects of being a vet is helping clients on a daily basis and building long term relationships with pets and their owners.
In my spare time I love to travel and do sports.
Hi - I’m Nick Horniman and I have been a small animal veterinary surgeon since 1992 - running my own practice in Gloucestershire for 20 years. After selling the practices I now work as a veterinary consultant for Oxford Cowley Vets4pets. I have a Patterdale terrier called Molly, three cats and a guineapig called Squeakles with his own Instagram account.
It is a privilege to work with the Oxford Cowley team. I am involved in the medical, diagnostic and surgical caseload. Our surgical list includes eyelid entropium surgery, third eyelid cherry eye correction, major skin mass removal. Othorpeadics includes lateral suture for cruciate repair, fracture fixation, surgical reduction of hip luxaton, patella luxation, femoral head and neck excision and diagnostics work ups for lameness. Soft Tissue includes TECA and lateral bulla osteotomy, perineal herniorraphy, lung lobectomy and nephrectomy.
I am particularly interested in Orthopaedics.
Hi my name is Nick. I used to work as a team leader at Coca-Cola, but my passion for animals has brought me here to Vets4Pets. I work as a VCA and help with managing the practice with my wife Iva. I particularly enjoy assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre, and I am studying towards a level 2 award in anaesthesia and sedation to further my skills.
I have had animals all my life and I currently own a German shepherd called Rex. I love working with animals and couldn't think of anything more rewarding.
Hi I’m Hayley, I am a receptionist at Vets4Pets Oxford Cowley. I studied Communication, Media and Culture and while doing so worked at Pets at Home. I’ve always loved animals and really enjoyed learning about the pets and now enjoy helping out with the animals at the practice and seeing them through their recoveries and journeys.
Although I have had many different pets, I currently am pet-less. However I’m lucky as I am constantly being surrounded by animals in my work and home life. I love walking family and friend’s dogs, and with my boyfriend are currently planning the adoption our first rescue dog. I’m very excited for the chance to raise our own dog and feel extra prepared with working for such a great team at the practice.
Hi I’m Amy, I’m a receptionist at Vets4pets in Cowley. I am studying Law at University whilst working part-time at the vets. I have always loved animals, and getting to spend time with so many different kinds at the clinic every day has been such an amazing experience. It’s a pleasure getting to know the animals and the owners and seeing them get back to being fit and healthy. I have a dog named Cody and a cat named Taz at home, who we love to cuddle and fuss, we are obviously pet crazy!
My name is Mollie and I joined Oxford Cowley Vets4Pets in September 2019. I am from New Zealand and am working on becoming a registered Veterinary Nurse. I love greeting our patients and their humans and doing what I can to add to a positive experience at the Vet Clinic! In my spare time I love reading, rock climbing, exploring outdoors and creating handmade art prints using loved furry family members paw prints! I have 2 cats of my own who I rescued in NZ. They travelled with me to Oxford and are settling in well!
I look forward to meeting you at reception or chatting over the phone!
