Meet the team
Hello, my name is Iva, I am originally from Bulgaria. I have a Masters degree in Veterinary medicine, which I earned in 2011. I come from a pet mad family with both my Dad and Sister also working as Vets and my Mum working as a zoo engineer. After graduating as a Vet I began working with my Dad with small animals and poultries. I have a special interest in Neurology and Veterinary Dentistry. in 2014 I achieved an Honour Code Certificate in 'Fundamentals of Clinical Trials' from Harvard, USA. In January 2015 I achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Veterinary Practice Management at the Institute of Leadership and Management London. For me it's a real privilege to be a vet and to help the patients stay healthy and happy. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and visit new places.
I graduated from Trakia University in Bulgaria in 2010. Since graduation I worked in a small animal clinic in Bulgaria for 7 years.
When I was a child I was a proud owner of a loving Russian black terrier named Arnold and an always purring Siamese cat named George and I always knew I will be a vet one day.
My professional interests lie in surgery and internal medicine. I have just started a qualification in US imaging.
The most rewarding aspects of being a vet is helping clients on a daily basis and building long term relationships with pets and their owners.
In my spare time I love to travel and do sports.
Hi - I’m Nick Horniman and I have been a small animal veterinary surgeon since 1992 - running my own practice in Gloucestershire for 20 years. After selling the practices I now work as a veterinary consultant for Oxford Cowley Vets4pets. I have a Patterdale terrier called Molly, three cats and a guineapig called Squeakles with his own Instagram account.
It is a privilege to work with the Oxford Cowley team. I am involved in the medical, diagnostic and surgical caseload. Our surgical list includes eyelid entropium surgery, third eyelid cherry eye correction, major skin mass removal. Othorpeadics includes lateral suture for cruciate repair, fracture fixation, surgical reduction of hip luxaton, patella luxation, femoral head and neck excision and diagnostics work ups for lameness. Soft Tissue includes TECA and lateral bulla osteotomy, perineal herniorraphy, lung lobectomy and nephrectomy.
I am particularly interested in Orthopaedics.
Hi my name is Nick. I used to work as a team leader at Coca-Cola, but my passion for animals has brought me here to Vets4Pets. I work as a VCA and help with managing the practice with my wife Iva. I particularly enjoy assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre, and I am studying towards a level 2 award in anaesthesia and sedation to further my skills.
I have had animals all my life and I currently own a German shepherd called Rex. I love working with animals and couldn't think of anything more rewarding.
Hi I’m Hollie! I’m from Essex but have moved to Oxford for my Degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I am enjoying working as a receptionist at the Vets as I get to see so many animals!
I used to have 3 cats at my family home but I now live with my 4 rabbits and dog. My rabbits are called Tim, Tom, Toffee and Twix and my dog is called Hunter. Hunter is 7 and was rescued all the way from Romania after being found on the streets.
My name is Martin and I am currently Client Care Manager at Oxford Cowley Vets4Pets. I graduated BA in Business Administration and MSc in Human Resources. I am living and getting live and work experience in UK for almost 4 years. I have decided to join the Team because I have desire for customer service and new challenges. I`ve got few years experience in hospitality industry and I think that would be helpful in my new role.
When I was child I was dreaming of becoming a vet but the life offered me something else. Now I am a step closer to my childhood dream, for sure is not the same doing the front office job but I still have contact with our patients and I really enjoy working with them. I am taking care of two pets at home so taking care of hundreds more is like a mission and passion.
