Graduated: 1998 in South Africa

Having qualified and worked as an engineer, I went on to graduate as a vet in South Africa in 1998. Following this I moved to Portsmouth. Along with Mackie, I became a Joint Venture Partner in the Portsmouth surgery on Burrfields Road in 2001. Together with other partners, we now have a group of associated practices within the Solent area: Portsmouth Solent, Fareham Park Gate, Fareham Collingwood, Waterlooville and Havant.

I have a keen interest in exotic patient care, medicine and surgery.

In my spare time, I can be found gardening, tinkering, building and making things.

I graduated as a veterinary surgeon, in South Africa, in 1998 and then moved to the UK to join Antony as a Joint Venture Partner in Portsmouth in 2001. Together with the other partners, there is now a group of associated practices within the Solent area: Portsmouth Solent, Fareham Park Gate, Fareham Collingwood, Waterlooville and Havant.

I spend part of the year working in South Africa treating anything from lions to helping kittens at welfare centres. My wife, Jess, who previously worked at the Fareham Park Gate surgery, may be seen doing locum cover over the summer holidays.

I have 2 dogs, Dougie (a chocolate lab) and Pumkin (a cross breed rescue) and 3 cats (Larry, Mips and Chips). I have an interest in general medicine and surgery.

I have been an enthusiastic and passionate animal lover since my childhood as I grew up in the countryside as a farm girl, surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, sheep, calves and many more. I was responsible for feeding and observing the health of our pets till I moved to study in University.

Spending my best years at university I then graduated with a master and doctor of veterinary medicine. This has given me the opportunity to fulfil my life’s ambition and combine my passion with work.

Outside of work I am a proud mother to three children and like to explore things with them. This gives me a chance to learn more every day. Horse riding and book reading are my other interests.

Joined the Team: September 2025

I graduated in 2019 from the University of Bari, Italy. After graduation, I worked in veterinary hospitals where I gained experience in emergency care, general medicine, and developed a particular interest in ultrasonography.

I am passionate about providing pets with the best possible care, combining clinical knowledge with empathy to make every patient feel safe and supported. I am excited to continue this journey as part of Vets for Pets in Havant.

Being new to the UK, I’m enjoying discovering its beautiful landscapes – hiking, cycling, visiting castles, and camping, with stars above me and, quite often, a bit of rain too.

Joined the Team: November 2025

I was born in South Africa, I am passionate about animals and the outdoors. In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on dog walks, horse riding and water sports.

My deep love for animals led me to pursue a career in veterinary nursing. I began my journey in 2016, at Fareham Park Gate working on reception and then as a Veterinary Care Assistant. In 2018 I went on to do my Veterinary Nurse training.

In 2021 I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. From there, I worked my way up to a Deputy Head Nurse, a role I truly enjoyed.

After the arrival of my little girl, I transitioned to referral work, taking on twilight and night shifts before returning to day shifts and stepping into the role of Head Veterinary Nurse at Havant Vets for Pets. Throughout my career, I have always remained dedicated to providing the best care for animals and will continue to do so.

I have a keen interest in surgical nursing and want to go on to complete a certificate in this field.

Qualified: Sparsholt College in 2014

After completing an Animal Management Course at South Downs College, I joined the veterinary industry as an Animal Veterinary Assistant (AVA). I worked in this role for three years before beginning my training to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

I have always enjoyed working with animals and found veterinary nursing through family. The practice I trained in helped fuel a passion, and love, for nursing that I never knew I had.

I am a clinical coach and find it extremely rewarding to help student veterinary nurses archive their goals.

My main interests lie in anaesthesia, wound management and dentistry. I would like to expand my knowledge and skills in dentistry as I move through my career.

Joined the Team: November 2025

I achieved my degree in Animal Management and Conservation and have previously worked on a farm, at Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital, and at an RSPCA rehoming centre. These experiences really sparked my passion for improving animal welfare and wellbeing across a wide range of species.

In November 2025, I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse, and I’m excited to make a positive difference to both pets and their owners as part of the team. I have particular interests in radiography, birds, and wildlife.

Outside of work I enjoy animal photography, paddle boarding and horse riding - anything that keeps me outdoors and around animals.

Joined the Team: February 2026

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse, qualifying in 2023. Becoming a veterinary nurse allowed me to combine my love of animals with a hands-on role in helping them recover and stay healthy. I am passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care to every patient and pride myself on being both friendly and professional when supporting clients and their pets.

I have a particular interest in Schedule 3 surgical procedures and am keen to continue developing my skills in this area.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading and travelling, and I share my home with my budgie, Freddie.

Joined the team: August 2021

I've wanted to work in a vets for as long as I can remember. I Studied Level 3 Animal Management at Sparsholt College and I would love to go on to study as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. 

I have two dogs: a Staffie called Jessie and a Jack Russell Terrier called Coco. I also have two rabbits: Bella the Lionhead and Thumper the French Lop.

With nine years of dedicated experience within the practice, I am proud to bring my knowledge and passion for animal care into my role as Practice Administrator. Having progressed through several positions over the years, I’ve built strong foundations in customer service and client support, and I’m committed to ensuring every pet and owner receives an exceptional experience. I enjoy supporting our team and helping the practice run smoothly so we can continue delivering the highest level of care to our patients.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, travelling, reading, and learning new skills.

I joined the team having previous experience in client care within the veterinary industry. I have an interest and experience in a range of pets, from horses to tortoises.  

In my spare time I enjoy working on my car, or spending time with my family or pets.

Joining the team at Havant Vets for Pets, I continue to build on my strong interest in customer service following my previous position as a receptionist in a nursing home. I was eager to take this opportunity as it allows me to combine my passion for animals with delivering a high standard of customer care.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far and look forward to continuing to develop my knowledge and skills within the veterinary industry.
