Meet the team

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 2008 and initially worked in a mixed practice in Huddersfield before moving to Sheffield. I had my daughter in Feb 2019 and joined the team at Wadsley in February 2020 part -time. I am currently studying towards a certificate in small animal medicine and I enjoy all aspects of first opinion work, with a specific interest in pain management. I have two small poodle crosses and three rescue cats at home and I enjoy swimming and walking in my spare time. I also took up crochet whilst pregnant'

Peter has recently joined our team here at Wadsley Bridge. Originally from Italy, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him.

Kirstie Stoddard
Practice Manager / Senior Veterinary Nurse
RVN NCert (Anaesth)
I started working here in 2012 when the practice opened. I was originally a Veterinary Care Assistant but then I was given the opportunity to train to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Since then I have become the Senior Nurse and in 2018 I took on the role of Practice Manager. I have recently completed a Certificate in Anaesthesia allowing me to broaden my knowledge of anaesthetics. I love working with the team here at Wadsley as everyone is caring, compassionate and have an amazing drive for patient care and wellbieng.

I began working in the practice in 2016 when I left school. I began part time helping the nursing team and then in 2018 I began working full time as a veterinary care assistant. I am hoping to fulfil my dream of becoming a registered veterinary nurse soon. I really enjoy helping the nurse team take xrays of patients and looking at the images on the processor. I have a Cavapoo named Sunny who I love to take for walks in the countryside.

I started work in December 2017 originally as part of the Client Advisor team, but my passions lie in patient care. In 2019 I was given the opportunity to undertake my training in order to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I really enjoy working in the laboratory looking at cells and parasites. I have two dogs called Shadow and Maple, as well as a cat called Lola and a snake called Echo.

Catherine is a very experienced veterinary nurse. Her passion lies in surgery and theatre nursing. Out of work Cat has a horse called Louis, 3 dogs called Fletch, Ernie and Nelly, and a growing gang of guinea pigs.

Claire recently qualified as an RVN and she is a vital part of the team here at Wadsley Bridge. She is caring and compassionate with both clients and patients.

Jodie is our Veterinary Care Assistant. She helps the vets and nurses with looking after our patients. Jodie has two dogs called Bunker and Ryder and a horse called Ebony.

Ana is currently working with us as a Veterinary Assistant. She is passionate about cycling and takes part in road races. She also loves to keep fit and often she will run too and from work.

Bex is a integral part of our nursing team. She loves consulting, so will often be found snuggling our young patients and caring for our older clinic patients. She has fantastic knowledge of all aspects of nursing. She owns a beautiful German Shepherd called Zak.

I started working in the practice in 2017 as the Client Service Manager. I really enjoy working at the practice and particullary like greeting all our patients and meeting new breeds of dogs. At home I have an ex racing greyhound called Romeo who enjoys doing zoomies round the garden and treats.

Dee is part of our client care team. She owns a lovely red Labrador called Cooper. She will often be found walking him early in the mornings before work. Dee is passionate about Labradors and has worked previously with the Labrador rescue by walking the dogs in the centre and has rehomed several dogs from them, who have all lived happy, long lives.

Frankie is one of our client care advisors. Outside of work she looks after her horse Chilli. She enjoys show jumping with him and spends most of her spare time at the yard making sure Chilli is happy. Frankie is studying animal management at Barnsley Collage and has hopes of becoming a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the future.

Chloe is a member of our client care team. She is here to great patients when they arrive at the practice and she is always available for cuddles. Chloe is passionate about animals and has aspirations to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Abbie is a valued member of our client care team. She is always on hand to help clients and their pets when they come into the practice. She loves all kinds of animals, but is passionate about wildlife and she will care for all the strays brought into the practice to rehabilitate and release them.
