We’re still here for you and your pets
Whilst we are still only open for medically essential and emergency appointments (in line with the government guidelines), if you have any concerns about your pet’s health care needs, please don’t hesitate to contact us, to see how we can help. We now offer a range of services to support you and your pets - such as remote consultations and collection or delivery of some products if your pet is on our Complete Care Health Plan.
If you are visiting us, please note we are taking steps to help keep you and our colleagues safe, so please respect the following social distancing guidelines:
- If you do need to visit, we ask that only one person per pet comes along, to help reduce the number of people in the waiting area at any one time.
- Social distancing is crucial at this time. When arriving at your local practice, you may need to wait outside until a member of the team invites you in.
- Once inside the practice, we ask that you please respect a two metre distance from our colleagues and other clients.
- We are only accepting card payments to help minimise contact between you and our colleagues.
If you can’t visit us and are concerned about your pet’s health, please contact us and a member of the team can discuss available options. We will continue to share regular updates here and on our Facebook page. We thank you for the patience at this time.
Meet the team
I graduated in Naples, Italy, in 2015. After a training period in Spain and Italy, I moved to the UK for my next challenge and joined the practice in September 2017.
My interests include anything relating to veterinary medicine and I am currently studying for a Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Medicine. My hobbies include travelling, music (I can play the drums), books and seeing a good movie!
I graduated from university in 2013 with a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. I then volunteered at Vets4Pets Southend for 6 months as a Nurse Assistant, before progressing to Companion Care Chelmsford with a job as a VCA. I transferred to this surgery when it opened, started my nurse training and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in January 2018. I have a Golden Retriever called Brody, a guinea pig called Patrick and a chicken called Fleur. I've been horse riding since I was 9 years old and also loan a horse called Penny.
I started working as a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) back in 2005 and joined The Vet Group in 2011 as a VCA in Basildon. I moved to the Southend Airport practice in September 2015. After a short break from November 2017 to April 2018, I am now back and studying to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I have 3 children and a dog called Buzz. My hobbies are watching movies and doing arts & crafts with my kids.
I joined the practice when we opened in March 2015. I really enjoy my role, which is always interesting, and I am lucky to work with the great team of colleagues that we have here. At home I have 2 crazy Labradors called Rolo & Ollie, 3 cats and a rabbit. I love to go away for weekends with friends in our caravan.
I qualified as a small animal hydrotherapist in 2014. I joined the practice as a VCA in August 2016 and I started studying for my official VCA qualification in October 2017, which I have just passed successfully! At home I have a dog called Peanut and a cat called Sydney. In my spare time I enjoy dog walking and drawing.
I joined the practice in September 2017. Since then I have enjoyed every moment and the team have been helpful and welcoming. I have 2 pet rats and a very mischievous rabbit called Rocky. He was taken poorly before the store had chance to sell him and I took him home to care for overnight and ended up keeping him! In my spare time I ride horses and go for long walks with my family and 2 Jack Russells, called Jack and Russell!
Hi I'm Katie. I joined the team in July 2017 and work part time 2 evenings a week and one weekend, as I am still in full time education studying for my A levels. I love being around animals and really enjoy meeting our clients and their pets. Our family has 2 Labradors, 3 cats and a rabbit. I also own my own horse called Jess, who I love to ride several times a week.!
