Meet the team

Emily qualified from Liverpool University in 2021. She joined the practice in September 2021 but did help out with holiday cover over the summer. She grew up in the area and was keen to stay local to home to look after the families crazy Labrador/collie cross Sasha.
She is currently on our 2 year New Graduate program and is receiving further training on a variety of subjects.
In her own time she enjoys playing the guitar and keyboard and loves to bake. Her chocolate brownies are always a big hit with the rest of the team.

Dr Anastasia Stylianidou
Veterinary Surgeon
MRCVS

Sam gained her veterinary nursing degree from the University of Central Lancashire in 2007. After qualifying she worked in a busy charity hospital, where she gained a massive amount of experience looking after pets suffering common illness and those undergoing emergency surgical procedures. She then moved on to work as a theatre nurse in a busy referral centre, working alongside vets performing more complicated surgical procedures. Sam joined the practice as Head Nurse when it first opened in June 2013 and became a Partner in Feb 2015. While Sam enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, she has a particular love for surgical nursing, which comes in handy as we perform operations at the practice most days. She also really enjoys all the less clean procedures: scaling grotty teeth, flushing filthy ears and cleaning up contaminated wounds, which Alex is equally happy about! Sam has a cat called Tim (nice but dim), a name affectionately bestowed on him when he was handed in as stray suffering from brain injuries after a car accident (he made a full recovery).

Jade joined the practice in July 2019 after studying Animal Management at Rease Heath College. She completed her Veterinary Care Assistant course in 2021 and is now studying to be a veterinary nurse. Her big interest outside of work is shopping and socialising with friends. At home she has a crazy cockapoo called Harry and 3 cats. Mable and Gizmo are sisters and Grix came from the Cats Protection League.

Charley joined the practice in Oct 2019. She has a degree in Visual Effects and Post Production from the University of Bolton but soon realised that she preferred to work in the animal care industry. She has worked for Pets at Home as a store colleague for 4 ½ years and gained her SQP qualification prior to joining our practice. She gained her Veterinary Care Assistant qualification in 2021 and is now studying to be a veterinary nurse. As an SQP she also prepares repeat prescriptions for many of our patients. Her home life is pretty chilled with her main hobby, reading science fiction novels. Over recent years Charley has had every small furry pet imaginable… and has adopted a rescue dog called Boadie to join to her furry family.

Vicki joined the practice in July 2021 after 13 years in a large local referral practice. She qualified as an RVN in 2014. She brings her immense wealth of experience that she has gained and a natural ability to fit straight in to any team.
She enjoys all aspects of her role but is particularly keen on dealing with clients face to face in our nurse clinics. She is looking forwards to further developing our weight and geriatric clinics.
At home she has a busy family life including a 3 legged rescue cat called Tibbsy and cold water fish.

Alice joined vets4pets in May 2021 after completing her nursing degree at Myerscough in September 2020. Alice enjoys spending time with her mischievous cat pepper and taking care of her, after rescuing her in 2017. She loves to work with cats and would like to work closely with them in the future. In her spare time she likes to read and spend time with friends and family.

Beth Wright
Student Veterinary Care Assistant

Viv joined the practice in May 2022. She loves meeting lots of different people and their furry friends. At home she has a mature Golden Retriever, Louie who is best described as a "nutcase". In her spare time Viv enjoys walking Louie, gardening and DIY at home and meeting up with the "girls"

Debby joined the practice in December 2022. Being a client care advisor gives her the perfect mix of working with people and pets. Her furry friend is Betty a very funny and friendly English Bull Terrier. When not working Debby has a busy family life and is an expert at being "mum's taxi" .
